Absolutely! Yes, I learned the art of making a bootpack from a pro photog way back. It's all about cadence and low risers. Like spinning a bike!

Any opinion on how much snow left in Great Gulf and snowfields (wondering with the rain forecast in the 1st part of this week)? I'd like to head down to K on June 1 (if they open) then head to see Otto Rhodes on Friday?

This w/e was pretty sweet. Lots of folks happy with the snow and its extent.

Lots of liquid precip is probable for a few days but Friday could be decent, albeit cool. It's a long way to go for a Bifurcated Airplane and big patch in the East Snowfields, but nothing that could stop an earnest soul.

Not as far as October turns in West Virginia. :P

Right now the forecast isn't great for Friday (Showers likely, mainly after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Very windy. Chance of precipitation is 60%.) considering the long drive. Not use to plan to far ahead, we'll see if I'm at K on Thursday.

Spotted this on the webcam at 5:38 this morning:

A lone groomer trying to salvage continuous skiing for tomorrow. Hopefully the damage isn't too severe.

If they're grooming, my guess is, lift served skiing in Vermont on June 1st! Plan accordingly. I'm working till noon in Ludlow. See you on the hill at 1:00.

Season is not over yet. My post was that Ben said this is the last episode of the Working for the Weekend series.
Lifts or not I talked to skiers who will be at K tomorrow.

12:37 pm 05/31/17--We made it skiers and riders, we'll be skiing in June. Thursday, June 1 will be the final day of lift-served skiing and snowboarding this season and lift tickets will be FREE! The Superstar Express Quad will turn from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. but you'll want to get here early because we'll be handing out June 1 t-shirts at 8:30 to the first 250 skiers and riders in line. Music provided by DJ Dave and refreshing beverages available at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar. Don't miss this exciting opportunity, it's the first lift-served June Skiing and riding in 15 years.

Same here, and my first June turns ever! First run was awesome, second was about what you'd expect for June 1st but should remain continuous for a few hours. Gotta get to work now!
