Okay, here's an update from a motel room in the Great White North. I know the weather is different in the East right now.
11 ski areas planning to open this weekend plus Monday May 1 for some.
Here's the list:

I'm considering a trip to the rockpile myself sometime in the Friday to Sunday time period but can vouch for Stowe still having a ton of snow. I only had time for one lap after work yesterday but there is full coverage on most of the snowmaking trails off the quad and it looked like a lot of options still on the gondola side as well. Maybe even a run or two off the chin?
It looked like they groomed sometime during the day yesterday. It's not even rock ski season out there yet.

Thinkning Airplane for Saturday...and some Easties if I have the strength. Jon's TRs make both seem like they are still close to prime.
Weather watching to see how it shifts. Might have some of the breezes for a change....
Edit to add:
Thinking of leaving the skins at home and doing the up/down along the cog in hiking boots + micro-spikes. However, if there is still a skin line of 50% or more, I might not use hiking boots, just the teleboots, which are very comfortable, if a tad warm..Last edited by robrox; 04-27-2017 at 10:24 AM.

Skinned and skied Nosedive at Stowe today. AyoB is absolutely correct that there is still quite a lot of snow up there. The bumps were really soft and the lack of traffic kept the snow between them really enjoyable.
Edit for photo on lower Nosedive.

I'm a game time decision tomorrow morning, will let you know if I am headed up but it will be relatively early if I make it.
Closing day was just too good for me to not get there at least one more time before it's gone.
