I can field that and pics to come in the layup process. No flax in the 105. Flax with carbon for us. In all other skis in the line up. A little overkill with 4 layers of rubber

Wish my 115Ms were these instead (in the 187). That is all.

It´s an extrapolation on the CD3/SD115/115M, where we´ve wanted to keep the freeride feel in a narrower package. So it´s not a widened GS/SG/DH ski, but more of a narrower freeride/pow ski, optimized for funky and difficult snow and high speed (duh). The dims reflect this since it´s tapered in both the tip and tail, with a relatively short effective edge of 1342mm.

The idea is that you get a ton of stability due to the length/weight/straightness, yet preserve a pow ski´s ability to feather into and out of turns and break out of the radius to scrub speed more easily. 105 in the waist with a long, rockered tip gives plenty of float at mach schnell anyway. We´ll have to see of our customers feel the same way.
Thanks for the insights, makes more sense now and understand where you are coming from.

I'm going to use this to try and explain to my better half why i need to extend the quiver...yet again...

Got mine, and damn, they´re purrrty. Probably mounting them on the 0 line, looks like they won´t ever get unstable no matter how I´m gonna do it.

Talking about weight, i couldn't help myself and groped a pair of freshly mounted cd104s in 181cm at andi's today (sorry if they're a mags ). Very nice, but if the weight is anything to go by the 202s are absolute bastrads! I've only had my cd3 carbons to go by, but they are in no relation weight wise with or without carbon.

I'm fascinated with these skis. I haven't been on anything remotely like them since my 207cm K2 812s.

Really looking forward to seeing some footage of them; get out there and rip it up!

You can´t compare them by weight and extrapolate the flex. Completely different construction. They´re not ultra stiff, since a ski needs to bend in order to absorb energy and feel damp. All the rubber in the world won´t help you if the ski doesn´t bend.

Curious... anyone been out on these? The 187s or the 202s?

Might be able to swing that now, actually - I'll be moving to Zurich in July. But... I decided to mount the 115M with Shifts for living out your way. The 105M made more sense in my US quiver, but I think I want the 115M, given how there is no 'inbounds' that gets destroyed on a pow day.
