Weird fact- the road actually goes over Hogg Pass. The true Santiam pass is south of Hoodoo.

It's a cool spot- Some dicey albeit super short lines on Hogg. Hick-hike back up. Santiam lodge on its east flank is a cool old works progress lodge lodge that is slowly rotting. There was a group trying to get funding restore it but unsure what's going on with it now.

Oh and Hogg Rock is also a tua - a super rare type of sub-glacier volcano
    i'm disappointed

Footage from same place winter 2007

There's another one with one of the elderly Bishop bros (owners of Pendleton Woolen Mills) coming down Salmon St from up by Vista (? - where Salmon has the jog) in his XC70. Can't find it but I bet he did close to $100k in damage on his slide.

Hell yeah. I left at 5 to avoid Mad Max carnage on the interstate and arrived no issues. Hope rest of you get deiced and out tomorrow.

Caught the upper gate opening into Endor and had some super deep turns. No one was there and it was super fresh and bluebird. I saw the heather lift crew heading up around 12, but turn style is still at hrm. Anyone know if s&r or Jack's gates opened today? Once Endor opened I was in there rest of day.

Piece of cake. These winter events are like the zombie apocalypse; the closer to the city center, the more fucked things get.

Nothing to write home about. Shin to knee deep medium density cream cheese. A bit of a warm up at the tail end of the storm. Still good turns were had at Central Oregone Volcano

First chair on buttercup today! Which gave me 2nd chair (VIP solo-style!) on Vista. 3 laps and I never crossed a track.

patrol told me heather was on hold due to a few spots that didn't release mega during control work earlier this week. Snowbridges are in. He said heather by this weekend. Some of the releases in diamond/gold/silver bowl were head-high crowns. On a related note: who's skiing Newton?

I've skied a day at Newton so far. Stayed in the trees around tree line. 'Twas pretty good but needed a little more depth. Should be much better with this last storm. Probably touring there again Sunday. Resort Saturday.
