    Yeah that could be totally prime. Direct flights from SEA, too.

    I'd be inclined to get out of town and away from the coast for viewing the eclipse... mostly to get up high for a better view but also to escape the crowds. Party and play touron before/after. I looked up the climatology and it looks like April is square in the dry season there, before the monsoons kick up in June, so the likelihood of needing to drive into the interior to evade weather is low.

    It's going to pass through lots of scenic areas, Natl Parks, etc. Not sure Elko's at the top of my viewing list.
