Right? For a bar to be "great" IMHO it has to have:

    1. a fun, outgoing clientele,
    2. Good music (live or taped/juke box no matter,)
    3. decent booze at a reasonable price.

IDGAF if you barrel your Manhattans a month before serving or make your own specialty mojito purees or infused syrups.

Well many of the bars on that list are in hotels so your stuck up ass is more than welcome, and the chicks that care charge by the hour.

Sorry Mr. Trash. It's not frat time anymore. Come back with a shirt with a collar and clean your shoes.

Cool people, cheap drinks, pool tables, good jukebox. It's got it all. Plus lottery tickets.

I enjoy both dive bars and swanky cocktail lounges.

LES? You would not recognize now.
A lot of it changed so much.
Old residents are getting kicked out because of the new development.

Been to several of the bars on the list - my favorite is still the Vertigo Bar in Bangkok. Love that.
