I like that you can laugh at yourself Benny.

I notice my local dive didn't make the cut. That's ok with me.

Meh...I bet none of those bars has an uneven pool table, multiple tvs with NCAA football package etc., or people playing dice. Best bars my fat ass...

Been to a few of those, I definitely would leave PDT off the list and add Little Branch if I had a vote.

But yeah, most days give me the shitty pool table with the locals lean, sports on the tv, ice cold domestics, even colder house wine (Jäger), and a questionable narcotics purveyor at the end of the bar.

sorry, but riva grill and harveys 19th both beat all of those out.

even the best finished oak bar loses out to lake Tahoe and the mountains backdrop of those two.

That is such a poor list. I have been to a bunch of those places and I know there are many better. There's only a few west coast entries, none from the PNW. None from Canada. Ridiculous.

Pretty much any bar w/in 500 feet of the lifts or the 19th hole beats all of those

    LMAO....

I was always of the opinion the "best bar" was the one my buds and I would hang out at especially when a live band was jamming
Yes sounds cheeky but we always made a party of it.
Back then DUI was not a concern....fuck we would drink...a lot

That list is appalling. I can only imagine the hipster douche bartenders at these places.

I have been to none. However, I have seen some excellent shows/parties/crazy stuff at the Mangy Moose.

I saw Dante on the list and first thought they were talking about Dantes Inferno in Portland. They booked some good bands when I lived there, and the strippers from the club next door came over between acts to get their groove on. How many bars on that list can make that claim?

    Main Distinctions
    1. Cocktails are awful at Acropolis, very good at Dante's.

    2. Inviting Ms TBS out to Dante's usually got a positive response. Inviting her to dinner and dancing at Acropolis always (n=2) resulted in an icy stare and ménage a moi for an extended period

Sassys has good cheese sticks. And I once saw a very discheveled Art Alexakis there drinking alone.

The dancers at Sassy's have more ink per square inch than any other club in StumpTown

    Or, so I'm told...
