Wow. I'm surprised nobody here with small feet hasn't hopped on this--late season prices for a brand new boot.

I'm seriously tempted, just need to find a pair of Cochise to try on first. Noparking, where are you located?

To put some numbers to this, I'm 9.5 on the Bannock and find the 25.5 to be a nice performance fit (tight finger between heel and inside the shell).

I tested them with previously molded power wraps and my footbeds and not the new liners

Surprised you can get a 9.5 foot into the 2017 25.5, since the 2017 Cochise BSL is 5mm shorter than 2016 model. The 2016 25.5 smashed my toes unless leaning forward (my foot is size 9 and exactly 26cm long), so I bumped up to the 26.5 in this season's boot, which just arrived last night. Hoping these will fit perfect.

Same here. My OG Cochises are a 25, and I had a hard time convincing myself I could rock the new 25.5 after doing a shell fit (barefoot) last week. Shell fit on the 26.5 seemed too big. Think I'm in between sizes, otherwise I'd be all over this.

Remember when Marshal used to recommend going down a shell size, putting a Bontex shim under the liner, and getting half-size bigger liners for the first generation 2014 and earlier Cochise?

The next generation 2015 & 2016 models corrected the liner length and possibly the shell length.

The 5mm BSL reduction for the 2017 generation should correct the "Cochise shells run long so downsize" reputation, though it looks like the BSL reduction doesn't have as big an impact on the internal length as you would expect (compared to the 2016 model).

Good to know. Dang it, that kinda sucks. Guess I'll be sticking with my current boots since I don't want to mess with the bindings on 4 pairs of skis.

Legit boot, just got a pair myself. My take is that this 25.5 is right on with Sali &Nordica in the same size. Someone snatch this.

Of course, I ended up with Lange XT 130 Freetour, also in a 25.5. They're the slightest bit smaller, and the slightest bit less volume in the toe box than the Cochise (still measure a tight finger between heel & shell).

They're going to be 90℅ lift served / 10℅ side country.

BTW, I'm past sizing for black and blue toenails, so we'll see if I screwed up.

I saw your post in the Technica thread, and was scratching my head (did I mess up?). Well know in a month.

BTW, the Bannock measurement was with foot weighted (standing up).

You do know this boot has a massively thick boot board that can be ground to solve just about any instep issue right? Such an easy fix.
