Big Sky $150M development
$150 mil to be spent by 2025... Anyone know anything more about this? Sounds unreal. I might have to move to Big Sky.

Nice if they could develop direct flights from major markets. Doubtful.

There have been discreet craiglist ad's for drivers to transport between BZN and the really big. The ad made the requirements seem pretty lax, clean driving record was about all they were asking for. I sure would love to know what the second homeowners think about being carted around by some hippy supplementing the dream through what is one of the more dangerous winter roads I've driven in the lower 48.

Upgrading 12 lifts to and building out a village for $150m?
Assuming your swapping fixed grips for high speeds and the village is decent sized, the need to double thier budget or drop half the scope.Best Skier on the Mountain

That entire press release was a bunch of bullshit and intended to revitalize the buzz around Big Sky and to highlight the fact that Boyne replaced a couple of lifts that should have been replaced years ago.
My favorite is the push to regain the biggest vertical drop in the US. It is an un-skiable route by 90% of skiers, the route often closed due to weather or lack of snow, but hey! by the numbers, more vertical than any other resort.
I haven't seen the CL ads but they are probably the same ads that Shuttle to Big Sky runs every year about this time and are to hire van drivers to bring guests from the airport to Big Sky. Not a bad gig for someone with a flexible schedule.
To the OP, yeah, you should move to Big Sky. Better bring your housing with you.
Mr. Profane. There is a flight service from Gallatin Field that has 3 very nice Helis and caters to Y/C members. They are busy. As for how the Y/C is working out, The amount of construction is staggering.

They already do dumb fuck and most are for the winter. Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and New York to name a few.
I've driven them both and there are obviously worse roads but the amount of dumb fuckery on the the road to BS is alarming in both winter and summer. Coupled with people passing on blind curves and the much larger amount of traffic I'd say ghosthop is correct.

I may be stating the obvious, but it seems they want to "Jackson Hole" Big Sky. Given the unreal real estate at JH, it seems inevitable for many.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

The job fair last week had 25 employers, and only 10 job seekers.... Tons of jobs, no places to live.
Glad I bought here when I did.
In other news, maggot AustinFromSA opened a very cool retail shop in the Town Center. Stop by and spend some $$ in his store."Zee damn fat skis are ruining zee piste !" -Oscar Schevlin

It is hard to get to, and it will always be hard to get to, and that is its saving grace.

Big Sky $150M development
It is, till you drive it at 65 on a snowy/icy day with tractor trailer trucks flying by. I was very reli fed when my sister bought a place in the meadows so I didn't have to worry about her driving Gallatin every day from Bozeman.
