Where should I take Krystal Kartwright for her birthday dinner in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday night? We like good IPA with our meal.

Edgewood for the win if you want great views and great food. DogFishHead90 minute and Victory IPA in the bottle not sure what they'll have on tap Saturday. Brooks Sports Bar (also edgewood) does have IPA's on tap but the handles rotate pretty frequently.
I'm on vacation now though so the service is gonna suck. ;-)

Coldwater Brewery has excellent beers and good food. No views.
powdork.com - new and improved, with 20% more dork.

actually I fuck around all the time but not about snow levels... we got about .2 of rain overnight here in kb at lake level followed by a quick inch or two of snow between 8-9, then switched back to rain just after 9
    dynamic for sure!

    Looks like good food too.

We will be dropping Owen off on our way from Mammoth to SLT. He's heading to Canyons and Park City for a week for Spring Break with another family.

We get a night out on the town and a day at KW to ourselves on Sunday.

Have not been in close to a decade but Freshies used to have Racer 5 and Pliny on tap. Decent food.

    Edit. Never mind.

    HALP!

I am, excitedly, heading back to Tahoe to contribute to the touron population for a few days. I can't recall the incline/chain control requirements on 89, but on Friday I'm heading from Tahoe City to AM.

Assuming forecasts are correct and we (fingers crossed) get some measurable snowfall, I will not be driving to the hill. What is the best public transpo route to AM. The 89 Bus drops off at the 89/AM Rd Intersection. How do I get up AM Road to the Lifts? I want to storm ride AM on Friday and frolic in Squallywood on Sat after there has (hopefully) been some accumulation.

Is there an updated bus schedule for both 89 (I see they just dropped some routes) and the ride up AM Road?

    Any beta is greatly appreciated!

Reminds me of the Midwest. I remember once in Oklahoma, driving in a hail storm where all traffic pulled off and waited it out. Pretty amazing.

Snow levels at 6.5-7k and wet.. don't think you need to worry about snow on 89

Be aware that the current TART schedule is now wrong, as of today or tomorrow I think. They are ending winter scheduling three weeks early due to staffing shortages. Yeah, I'm not even kidding. Fuck you Placer county - talk about moving in the wrong direction.
