Damn, that's a good deal. Even if you just wanted the bindings.

So does this mean there needs to be a 2017/18 thread now?

New thread when the first skiable new snow hits...

Meanwhile, there's still plenty of skiing to be had on this season's leftover snow...

Today around 2pm PST and only a 20-minute hike NW of White Rock Lake:

    Am I Missing Something?

Want a Pass for Heavenly, but only "Tahoe Local" or "Tahoe Value" available?

Living in Carson now, so figure a Rose pass, for sure.
Uhming & ahhing about Heavenly too.
(A maggot reckoned we'd get bored with just Rose).

Supposed to go up in price after tomorrow, so crunch time.
And yeah, of course KW would be cool, but a bit more hassle to get to, I imagine.

Seems the one they do not do is HV only

MAKE TAHOE DEEP AGAIN ~ 2016/17 OFISHUL SNOW/FOOD/WHINE & STOKE THREAD

I think the time for a new thread is a number of days or weeks after someone first asks if it's time for a new thread. Also, when people start talking about where to ski in the coming winter and the ski movie trailers and pre-season sales start happening.

Matchstick offering looks wicked fun. 10/11 at Olympic Valley Lodge

Yes kirkwood can be a bit difficult to get to depending on the weather but my god is it worth it. Get the Tahoe Value, that way you have heavenly 7 days a week with the option for others when you want to switch it up.

When they added KW, the price didn't go up hardly at all; you're getting KW (and NS) pretty much for free.

Heavenly is an intermediate paradise that becomes more attractive to experts the deeper and lower their coverage gets IMO. In an off year the good skiing is limited. In an on year the good skiing is . . . (censored).

Yah. We like milky way bowl & killibrew.
Only done firebreak, a couple of times.
Used to always access from CaliLodge.
Stagecoach/Boulder will be different. Although hard to beat gunbarrel/face when conditions are right.

Tahoe Pass turx. Only KW has an Only pass. The other two only on the tahoe. Won't you be kind of close to n* as well? Would be nice to have if it is windy as hell and cold down low with a few inches of fresh on top of firm making the face not much fun and stagecoach feeling repetitive and nothing up top spinning while at n* everything is spinning and it is getting shin deep in the trees and you can ski it cause it is not all sloughed off. Just saying.

Gotta get out and buy ours. Waited till the last second cause fuck Vail. Locked into kw another year, so sucking up all the new negatives of Vail ownership.

    New Thread with New Snow.
    Not that hard to grasp.

If folks are still skiing on this year's snow it ain't next season yet.

wait til October, at least...like, say, Halloween...

Since I have unrestricted Squaw and headed to Telluride for President's week...I grabbed a Tahoe Local for KW and the option of NS since Turx said so.

If halloween this year is anything like last year, I for one will be stoked. Don't think I've every seen hourglass get gangbanged on a dawn patrol like it did after that first real storm last year. Still holding out hope for early october at shasta again, too...

The one season I didn't invest in "wind insurance" I really regretted it and ended up spending more on day tickets than the pass would have cost.

OpenSnow throwing out the idea that similar hurricane set-ups between 2010 and 2017 could lead to a similar winter to 10-11. Is this fantasy? Yes. Am I rock hard? Yes.
