BB, I saw a video on Reddit of a lady calling out across a pasture and then you hear the donkey he hawing as it comes running to her. So damn cute. I have seen so many cute videos of donkeys, they are definitely animals with lots of personality.

I’ve seen the vid of the woman calling the donkey and others like it. Super emotive, super cute animals. The herd (is that what you call a group of burros??) had a little one with them.

Post up your wildlife sightings here too!

we took an early afternoon/evening drive thru GTNP
Saw some bears crossing a field just past Jackson Lake Dam (first pic)
Then kept driving on and then all of a sudden the bears are crossing the road in front of us!
a mother and 2 yearlings it looked like
prob the closest I've been to bears in my time here. amazing!
    they also looked VERY healthy

Surprised they came this close to you, usually mother with cubs tries to avoid any contacts with humans
Heard there were a bear seen near one of my go-to outdoor ranges(weird), so Imma hop on Gritr's Shoot house events for some time, till it's clear

Harassing wildlife like that is against the law, even if you ain't got no gators to wrassle.

Jr & Little Sister need to come up here and try their luck with a 50lb wolverine like me. Winner gets the bones and teeth!

Mom crossed in front of us so we hit the brakes and waited for her to get all the way past the trail when, sure enough, baby came trailing behindClick image for larger version.

No pictures as it was too dark, but we saw the cutest, fattest, happy looking chunker of a bear tonight at the Phillips/Fish Creek trailhead. Not that big, but WELL FED.
He kind of ambled over to check us out just sitting on tailgates, said ‘whassup’, and casually sauntered off. I have never been less afraid of a bear in the wild.

    Look at those claws!
Below my place resembles a mine field, but I'm hoping it's been eating the ground squirrels that have been eating my potatoes & flowers all summer.

Go ahead ...... grab his/her ears and pick them up to discuss the merits of gopher consumption. They're really good conversationalists.

    Wildlife

I kept waiting for those people to get their faces chomped off and frankly they would have deserved it

And isisis very cool pic too. Why anyone would mess with them at close range boggles my mind

As a boy I lived on the outskirts of Calgary and Badgers were everywhere. When goofing off if we came across a den/hole we got the hell out of there.

    Wildlife

MTB ride in northern VT today and had my first black bear encounter. We both seemed happy to casually go our separate ways. Beauty of a bear I am so happy didn’t seem to want anything other than a peaceful passing. Didn’t have the audacity to pull the hip pack around to grab the phone for a photo! I was all about non threatening motions.

Funny to see all the badger talk… saw my first one last night. These are bad pics from behind. It looked like a small wolverine, but being in Wisconsin I decided it must be a badger.

Came within a foot of stepping on this dude at the top of the tram in Juneau last week. He scurried up this tree and I thanked him for not ruining my week
