Saw this guy in GTNP a few weeks back. He chased me through those trees when he spotted me and heard my camera. They were in the rut so very aggressive apparently. I think I would have rather seen a bear that close. I was a long way away before I dared to turn around and snap this one.

I saw a nice buck in suburban Chicago this morning leisurely eating some poor rich sod's hydrangeas. Shoulda coulda woulda gotten a pic, but I was late for work. Don't get me started with the chipmunks fucking with my shit.
Edit to add: I almost feel badly posting this nonsense after seeing AKturn's monkisco photo. Nice shot! Where?

Well, I came upon my first mountain lion Saturday. I was walking back up to my truck with my dog and saw the rear end of the lion sauntering across the road less than 100 feet away and around a slight uphill bend and out of sight. After grabbing the dog and cautiously moving past the spot and up to the truck. My wife and friends got out and the cat came back across the road and just stood there looking at us before moving on it's way. I wish I had a camera in hand.
Best regards, Terry

Saw a (black) bear on my MTB ride Saturday - it must've heard me coming up the hill and took off across the trail and through the trees. First time I've seen one in a full out run, those things can move.

Saw this guy from my living room last night. Hence the shitty pics. Even showed up @ sunset for the photo op. Only wish I'd knew.

Inspired by KQ's post in the dog stoke thread yesterday...
OK, OK, so I'm a bit of a sucker for bear cubs, and could also relate to my early days of spring touring before I mastered kick turns...

I guess those bears were running from the drone that was harassing them.

Saw a skunk tonight. I haven’t seen a live one in forever, maybe 20 years. I forgot they still made live skunks.

ooh they are around- although not as concentrated as they can be back East
I used to own a pest control side business trapping mostly skunks for people.
basically did it bc there was only one other guy around and he was a kill trapper and some people wanted a catch and release.skid luxury
