Or, maybe it is time to stop putting any faith in long range forecasts. Several (i.e., the two that I know) professional meteorologist have come to the conclusion that the correlation between ocean temps in the Fall and snowfall in the winter is no better than the Farmer's Almanac. From a recent Ocean Snow post:

^^^ That, plus the WMO came out with a report last year that said we've already got so much warming in the atmosphere and oceanic systems that our prior records/n-value are almost meaningless.

Ohhh noes! Time to get rid of your powder planks. I will take one for the team - my groomer-cruising ice-crushing machines for your ridiculously fat pow boards .

Have faith boys. Ullr will provide.

It'll snow. Then it'll warm up. Then it'll snow again. Then it'll be wet. Then it'll snow again.

Word. Just saw that chart an hour or two ago too.

Tail end of a mega El Nino = a fuckton of heat dredged up from the depths. Like a fucking AGW carbon shit kraken.

yeah, another let's compare weather with climate.

Godwin's Law should updated to include the Global Warmz.

Whatever happens, they sure screwed the pooch with their Super El Nino predictions for last season.

I'm getting a late 80's to early 90's vibe for CO and NM, so think we'll have good season.

    Heresy, but interesting.

"In the IPCC view, the planet was cooler during Roman times and the medieval warm spell. Overall the temperature is headed up - perhaps wildly up, according to the famous/infamous "hockey stick" graph.

The new study indicates that that's quite wrong, with the current warming less serious than the Romans and others since have seen - and the overall trend actually down by a noticeable 0.3°C per millennium, which the scientists believe is probably down to gradual long-term shifts in the position of the Sun and the Earth's path around it."

I hope the earth stays cold AF

I love skiing more than anything in this world. If this global warming thing is the truth and it takes away what feels like my reason for existence.. I will be a sad sad boy
