Buddy of mine says that property is basically a swamp.
    Northern or southern Purcell's dirt?

    Malakwa Gorge Road Condi's - December 2017

    Hi all,

New to the thread. Was up at the Gorge earlier this year for some excellent turns. Wondering what the road condition is like now - hoping to get up there on Boxing Day with a 4 x 4 and some chains.....any info much appreciated.

The road should be fine. Not sure when they worked up there last, but it should just be tonight's fresh to deal with.

Evening Ridge last week, that little freezing rain crust was a bit of a piss off.

Rossland Range, Christmas Eve, no crust but less snow overall = tradeoff.

    Christmas Day up Elgood...

    Found some fat pow!

Once again gorge rd is fucked by fuckers without radios, tires, chains, decent vehicles, or a clue....... good thing we had plan b. There were hippies walking down the road.

Skied the deepest snow of my life yesterday, couldn't breathe or see half the time. Snowed hard all day and was puking when we pulled out at 430. Good times despite the idiots.

I was surprised by a bronco esque vehicle blasting down at 3.5k , clearly not sporting a radio (or winters?) at 930am on Boxing Day.

It really adds to the adventure.

Yea, Rossland Range kicked ass yesterday! Things were getting pretty hammered by the wind up high today though, lots of snow available for transport.

Red's had about 30cm over 3 days. Lots of tourists and families riding the lifts, but pretty quiet off the groomers.

ww got a bunch on that storm, around 50-55c... while I was away. lots of leftovers yesterday though and not super busy. glory chair is still pretty low base, but the rest is covered well.

on the storm day ww was turning people away as there was no parking for a while. sounds like some staff maybe were confused or something as only part of the day they wouldn't let people up. have never heard of that before. great for them making money.

great pics, especially love Z's with the clouds!

anyone around here going to the bbi at alpental and want to drive together?

Some shots of some skiing, fair bit of early season stuff from Rogers Lake Louise and the Gorge, threw a few older clips that i had sitting around in as well. Such a rad start to a season.
