    Check out prices shipped to Canada from 409shop out of hong Kong: https://www.409shop.com/

    I've ordered from them 2 years ago and while shipping was a little slow the radios got to Calgary just fine. Kind of a kludgy web sales interface and I was a bit wary sending payment to HK but things worked out.

    Sorry just saw this. Ya I tried amazon first(the 2radio pack) and it also wouldn't ship. I ended up ordering it off eBay . Probably take longer to get here than amazon. ETA is dec20-jan4. A friend ordered one off amazon though(possibly some preferred customer thing as he orders a lot on there). I got him to through in a 15" antennae for my radio. The antenna arrived today(3days). They had it warehoused in Richmond . My eBay radio ships from china

    I have a baofeng programming cable and no baofeng if anyone wants it, then you can program the thing with Chirp instead of using the wacky in-radio programming. I might have a decent antenna lying around too.

    FYI on the gorge rd. The grader will be starting from 10 ishkm and then going up towards Anstey arm then back at the end of the day. So the lower portion will not be plowed on big snow days in the morning.

    The Retevis RT-5R is the same thing as the Baofeng UV-5R and is sold as a single unit on Amazon. They sometimes drop down to $40. https://www.amazon.ca/Retevis-RT-5R-...=retevis+rt-5r

    Severely lacking the action shots, but some great skiing the past week. Probably the last stable snow we'll have for a while...

    Hit up the malakwa area this weekend. Not much pow pow, plenty of tracks. Good turns had by all. Highlights of the weekend included, me bringing the wrong skins (thankfully too big rather than too small) , I discovered that I smashed the shit out of my s-module last time I was out and ......

    this full custom doughnut;

    Ordered a Boston Cream from Sicamous Tim Hortons... (Because I wasn't feeling fat enough). The guy says, it's going to be a minute, she is making a special one.
    The doughnut was warm, custard was cool, chocolate was soft and supple.. Please note the chocolate doughnut base...and the collectors edition tray that it was present in. Hands down, best Tim Hortons doughnut I have ever had.

    .... So hefe... How did Sunday play out?

    Nice doughnut TR. The busted sled is karma for bailing on me sunday morning! He who hoots with the owls at night cannot soar with the eagles at dawn (unless your name is Ryan Danchuk).

    Sunday was great, found a new sled lap zone, some burnt trees. Maybe if you feel up to it this week I will take you.

    So much self loathing, it even carried over to today.... Thankfully I got that out of my system.

    New S-Module is on order, should be here Thursday. I am going to strip down the sled tomorrow or the next day... you should check your wear rods, i have already blown through a pair this season.

    Today was very deep. I'm sure if you're tuned into the proper Instagram and Facebook accounts, you'll see plenty of footage and photos. I managed to get in three laps before work, then five more afterwards. Lap one, I basically straight-lined Snow Rodeo because it was so deep.
