Hood River fly fishing
Hey guys
Headed to Hood River for 5 days for a wedding and staying over by Hiyu Winery. Hood River will be about a 200 meter walk so figured I should get on the water. Anyone have any insight? I have a 3 or 7 wt I can bring out. Am I too far into summer and going to be hitting the glacial runoff period?
Any tips, suggestions, knowledge would be much appreciated. I'll ring the local shop, but figured I'd touch base here first

Don't bother. The Hood is a winter river and there isn't much of a resident trout population. Go to the Klik or the D, without the 3 wt. Stop in the Gorge Fly Shop and talk to them.

Good fly shop. They may suggest smallmouth on the Columbia.
