May or may not be this trials guru - http://www.mongoose.com/usa/riders/chris-akrigg/

Incredible video. So much style. I've spent some time, recently, around those late 80's rigid MTB's. Pretty sick so see a modern remake and someone ripping full-on!

This might be my favorite Akrigg video, if only partly because Akrigg released it and then without any official explanation it disappeared a day later. Luckily someone was able to re-post it somehow.

This one's an oldie but a goodie. Riding start around 1:40.

Took me a solid three minutes to figure out this was a new video and remake bike. My first real bike was a 1985 Mongoose BMX!

This is the best fake-retro video I've ever seen. I didn't realize it was fake at first. Even though I saw the Royal Racing logo in the beginning and thought, "I didn't know they've been around that long". Duh. The big tires gave it away, but still...

Nobody wore helmets back then. Giro just came out in 85.

Makes me want to do a retro mountain bike weekend, kinda like straight skis and an 80s fartbag.

They do those eroica old road bike rides. Mtb version might be a good idea.

I still have my rigid Bridgestone MB-1 that I ride occasionally. Geo's really upright and takes some getting used too.
Not sure I would want to ride anything really technical on it anymore, kind of like 210 GS skis.

Yes, Japanese. I did not remember the zip, but it looks very similar to my MB-1 that I got in 89.
