I am leaving after the conference open for skiing or whatever comes up. Liking the via faratta idea as the equipment required is easier to travel with than a bike, and it is something a little different for me and looks exciting. Might rent a motorcycle for a day if the weather looks good. I can always rent a mountain bike and just bring my own shorts

Not this year. First one I will miss since my first in 1996 in Banff. Too much other stuff going on. If you're a TAR subscriber you know.

And if you're a TAR subscriber and going to ISSW, bring me back some observations (Summit- talking to you among others) about what seemed important, what were people talking about.

Never CSAW, but I have been to other regional workshops. Lots of good information, you will get the mind set and learn something. Plus mini gear show.

I haven't missed one since 2003. They are a good distillation of ISSW stuff, science with a CO focus but not 5 days of brain drain of ISSW. Good state meet and greet of avalanche pros.

I have a few teammates are going, but I’ll be headed back to my real job by then.
