Save Saddleback, Maine petition
Yes... I just saw your location "NY/Pittsford". I'm in Granville, so we're 25 to the Bush and 45 to Kmart. Good places to be. We'll have to meet for beers with other mags this winter.
And my BFF's car... just finished building his ski house in Rangley. Someone will buy SB, right?!:

Petition signed BTW. Best of luck to you guys. The folks down the road from me (Shames) know your predicement intimately and managed to turn it into a beautiful thing. As Gary and his gang will tell you, there is hope.

You may have to figure out how to make a living up there with something like that (clean needles?) if the economy continues to tank. The Bush isn't exactly a big cash machine. And that scamming the foreigners for green cards has already been taken by the Jay thieves.

VT-F has some mad carpentry skills and not just on skis. He'll always have work and be in demand. Unlike washed up lemonade stand pimps in Colorado.

Well, hey, here's an idea. Form a co op of sorts, but with absolutely no real ownership and voting power over the mountain's business plan, get together over a few beers, sing koombaya, and sell a bunch of 3000 dollar t shirts. Oh, wait.........

I didn't know Saddleback had closed either. I haven't been there for a few years, but it was one of my very favorite places I've skied. Good terrain and a great vibe. Hope that it makes it.

I'll throw $5 in the ring for Saddleback. First area I skied and was just 2 y.o.
