Two days of skiing with NWskier

I've been bad about posting pictures this year, and in general, but this is a start.

From last weekend 6/25. NWskier and I made plans to hike up and ski something in the Tatoosh where neither of us had skied before. The hike up was in thick clouds almost the entire time, kicking steps was fast enough and there were enough dirt patches that we didn't skin at all. We only had one slight detour where we tried to make a route go before deciding it was dumb.

We got to the saddle and had this view of Adams and the valley down to Packwood Click image for larger version.

At the beginning of May we made plans to ski in the Goat Rocks wilderness but had to choose another plan after finding the trailhead was unreachable due to snow. We decided on white pass, no better way to be introduced to a new mission than after its closed but NWskier was happy to point out what was what on his home mountain as we skinned up to the top for some back bowl skiing.

For the next lap, I had eyed something a little tighter and steeper just above the earlier chute. It looked like it went but it rolled over steeply and we weren't completely sure about the narrowest spot. We ate a little lunch and decided to do it, NWskier disappearing over the roll
