I don't blame DC for stepping down. Who would be mad enough to attempt to lead GB through the impending inevitable fiduciary fecal festival.

They didn't expect the vote to go the way it did. Their intention was to fight for a cause they assumed was unwinnable, and in doing so to improve their popularity with voters who distrust foreigners and/or the institutions of the EU and feel underrepresented. Which is why they were totally unprepared for a majority leave vote. The footage of them visibly shitting themselves the morning after the referendum would have been hilarious, were the situation not such an unutterable cluster-fuck.
Nearly.

don't have much sympathy for politicians other than the pay, its low compared to private sector & compared to the stress & time commitment of it. I don't care if they make some $$ consulting afterwards.

it would be for the best if Britain never invoked the article 50 & never actually leaves. But not sure if anyone would have the guts to ignore the vote? Seems the EU will kick them to the curb just for allowing the vote to pass. Its certainly a clusterfuck with no easy way out.

Pretty sure he meant "deft" as in "skillful" but I've been wrong before too.
edit: but apparently not this time.

It's fucking PUBLIC SERVICE. If their life's goal is to become wealthy, don't delicate yourself to "employment" in the public sector. It's not supposed to be a fucking job. Christ fucking almighty, our values have been so fucking warped. This is why so many think it's OK Bill Clinton (and Tony Blair, from what I gather) is worth well over a hundred million dollars today, for doing nothing but schmoozing as an ex president. He gets a substantial pension, expenses paid for a lot of things, and a small security force until he dies. That's a pretty good deal, compared to 99.9% of Americans who toil in the private sector all their fucking lives. But, hey, OK, how much more is he worth? What does the market say, like it says for your worth in our economy and my worth? A hundred million? Really? Maybe two? Three? Where does it stop. And what does this say to future presidents? Four years of a tiring but intense power trip, and then you're rich beyond any King and Queen's dreams of old? Shit, they'll be tripping all over each other for the gig, just like most of them would sacrifice their first born for a senate seat, which is a ticket to riches, too.
This is the best argument that only the rich should serve in high offices. You don't see Dubya out there whoring himself off to any high bidder.

No he was saying that calling someone such creative names is a deft use of language.

This is the creepiest thing I've read about this whole sordid affair since the vote. I guess a lot of people will just smirk and say, of course, but it just astounds me that Britain is still ruled by twits playing games they learned in their teens in some private school. Best argument for gun ownership in America. Reminds you why the second amendment exists.

The pig thing doesn't creep me out that much. I mean, boys will be boys. No surprise. Betcha same shit happens in some American frats. But that whole incestual vacationing together thing. For fucks sake.
