Fitz and the Tantrums
My wife bought tickets for us to go see them tomorrow night. No idea who they are so I just watched some video. Holy shit these people are terrible. Some sort anthemic dance music thing going on. There doesn't actually appear to be a "Tantrums", there's only a white guy and a black girl. Maybe they're the Tantrums? Then who the hell is Fitz? Fuck. There's perfectly good TV to watch tomorrow, how do I get out of this?

I guess this is your one and only attempt at breaking the date.
Other than that. I am sure a night out with the spouse will be lovely.

I didn't go, my wife took my daughter instead. They came back and said it was a good thing I stayed home, but they had fun.

I had these guys offered up for a show this summer. I just couldn't see pulling the trigger for this band, but Salt Lake Twilight did. Ha.

You were out of his league.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

When I first heard this several years ago I found it interesting with its throwback sound.
Their lack of guitar makes their sound pretty different. The newer stuff is too poppy for my taste and I can imagine they would be pretty lame to watch live.
Edit...
yep
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Fitz and the Tantrums
They just did a live set on our local radio station since they're playing in Albany tonight. Not any better as a stripped down trio.
