An amusing study of the NOAA accuracy shows that those forecasts have slightly worse accuracy that random sampling (i.e. dart throwing).
For example, this last year was forecast to be drier than normal in the PNW. However, Seattle broke it's all time rain record this last winter. So, YMMV.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

Last year was the worst season over the past 25 years in the Appalachian Mountains, so La Nina has to be better

Figuring out where to ski based on a 6 month or longer forecast is a fool's errand. A week out is usually pretty good.
