Yes please, was going to try to eek one more season out of the snow tires...now I'm second guessing that.

So I am assuming that was a La Nina year and it dumped substantially??? Odd, as the little graph was shaded light tan which to my uneducated eye meant a lower than average snow year for Tahoe/Mammoth, so what am I missing here?

An amusing study of the NOAA accuracy shows that those forecasts have slightly worse accuracy that random sampling (i.e. dart throwing).

For example, this last year was forecast to be drier than normal in the PNW. However, Seattle broke it's all time rain record this last winter. So, YMMV.

I'd be down with another 90sick-90heaven season! I had to shovel out my 6' dog run in Alpine every week and the Village and Targhee were the best I can ever remember them being. Beyond that, I'd also be happy with another 07-08 season.

Last year was the worst season over the past 25 years in the Appalachian Mountains, so La Nina has to be better

Figuring out where to ski based on a 6 month or longer forecast is a fool's errand. A week out is usually pretty good.

You got a better shot playin pickup sticks with your butt cheeks than reliably predicting localized winter quality.
