Holy shit Zion is crowded. It's fucking Monday in March. Awesome day in an awesome place, though.

How's the breakfast buffet at the hotel next to yours?

Fucking Rubys Inn. Got an awesome bed deal for two nights, but breakfast "buffet" (jezuz, all the fat people want buffets) was 10.95, with incredibly bad service, and, on top of that, they charged me 2.95 for a coffee. All the crappy bacon I could eat, but 3 buck coffee.
If Yosemite is three times as bad as Zion today, as I've been told, I think I may never see the place. The national parks are drowning in enthusiasm. Awesome day, though. What a beautiful place.

Look at it this way, you want those large breakfast buffets. They'll attract more tourists thereby keeping them out of your way in the park. Between that and the inevitable tourist buffalo kill, you'll be enjoying a noticeably less crowded park between the hours of 7-10am.

The hike up and down Angels Landing is fun when it's crowded. The hike down the Virgin was very uncrowded until we got near the bottom--didn't see anyone for most of 2 days. Only 12 parties a day allowed in I think.

Not at Yellowstone, but:

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

When the sea lions get pissed, it's a sign were in trouble. Next is the attack of the Bambis.
