So, I have a proposal.
Couldn’t we just get Soros to use his Jewish Space Lasers to obliterate all of the starlink satellites, and pulverize all of the other space junk floating around?
Seems like a no-brained to me.
(Until I want global satellite internet so I can post in Sprocket Rockets from the Gobi desert, of course)Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident

How much billions of market cap can evaporate in one TV comedy sketch show?
That is the real humor.

All because people sucked his dick and ennobled his bullshit under the pretense of “saving the planet”. Way to go dickheads.

10-16-2021, 10:46 PM #2387We all know by now that Tesla doesn't follow the rules or traditions of other automakers as it launches new models, so the fact that previously announced specs for the upcoming Cybertruck have disappeared from the company website isn't exactly a huge surprise.
The removal of these details does make us wonder if the recently announced production delay is really about changing more than the delivery date.

Elon Musk Is Building a Sci-Fi World, and the Rest of Us Are Trapped in It
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/04/o...smid=url-share
Weirdly, Muskism, an extravagant form of capitalism, is inspired by stories that indict … capitalism. At Amazon Studios, Mr. Bezos tried to make a TV adaptation of the Culture space opera series, by the Scottish writer Iain Banks (“a huge personal favorite”); Mr. Zuckerberg put a volume of it on a list of books he thinks everyone should read; and Mr. Musk once tweeted, “If you must know, I am a utopian anarchist of the kind best described by Iain Banks.”
But Banks was an avowed socialist. And, in an interview in 2010, three years before his death, he described the protagonists of the Culture series as “hippy commies with hyper-weapons and a deep distrust of both Marketolatry and Greedism.” He also expressed astonishment that anyone could read his books as promoting free-market libertarianism, asking, “Which bit of not having private property and the absence of money in the Culture novels have these people missed?”
Admittedly, it’s possible these men’s sci-fi fandom is so much tech-bro-PR blather, but these are very smart people and you do get the sense they’ve actually read these books. Muskism, it seems, involves misreading.

Hey, it's a piece of crap, but, it's a cool piece of crap.
Oh, and the last I heard, this company is valued higher than all other car companies combined.

Sounds like he is just cajoling his peons to put their nose the grinder more than they usually do. SpaceX could IPO whenevs and everyone wants to own a piece of that. They have commercial launch totally tied up and no competitor is close, they only survive through government legacy and inertia.
Raptor is complex though. Hope they make it work.Originally Posted by blurred

Well, as you say, since they are essentially our space program, I'm pretty sure they and he will be bailed out to the tune of billions by you and me with this "bankruptcy" talk. Ka-ching.

Lol/yawn
So now he is a rocket scientist? Did he sleep next to the line?
Musk wrote in the email that he planned to take the long Thanksgiving holiday off. But, after discovering the Raptor situation, Musk said he would personally work on the engine production line through Friday night and into the weekend.

ELON MUSK: SMARTEST GUY IN THE WORLD OR COMPLETE CLOWN?
Ima go with just super lucky...
Now Bezos on the other hand.. Bought a shitload of books for pennies when hard copies of stuff jumped the shark then built a web marketplace to sell them still pretty cheap.. Then he reinvested those pennies in to inventory and partner agreements to sell shit people actually want to buy.. Adds grocery delivery right before the fucking pandemic hits (that part was luck). There's some smart guy shit there...Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

He just called Elizabeth Warren "Senator Karen" EDIT OK not in a hearing, tweeted response or something like that.
I chuckled a little. That said, keep in mind this dude's mass producing "bulletproof" trucks. Granted the first look was a total fail, but he seems to be adding to the threat of domestic terrorism with that product offering. Vanilla ISIS rolling in bulletproof trucks isn't a good thing..Last edited by SumJongGuy; 12-15-2021 at 10:38 AM.
