Twitter says my replies to Elon calling him a Dumbass are not nice.
Seeker of Truth. Dispenser of Wisdom. Protector of the Weak. Avenger of Evil.

The guy runs Twitter, he's not a world leader. Twitter, like TGR, is not reality.
If we're headed down that road, can we also rid the world of TikTok?

Elon Musk: Smartest Guy in The World or Complete Clown?
Powerful capitalists with more money than sense can’t ruin a democracy because they’re not elected officials?

Elon Musk: Smartest Guy in The World or Complete Clown?
Enabling of disinformation campaigns on a massive and repetitive scale is the first thing that comes to mind.
ETA: “We the people” is a society of folks governing themselves, yes?

What disinformation campaign specifically. And doesn't every national media outlet already engage in that? Certainly Fox, but so does CNN and all the others. Facebook, too.

^you don’t agree that any of the countless disinformation campaigns allowed to run amok on social media platforms is causing irreparable harm to society and by extension democracies in general?

Yes, the most obvious is the capital insurrection. But it certainly is not unique to Musk…he’s just a target because of his wealth and his overly vocal personal opinion.

I don’t think he’s being “targeted” as much as he’s an active participant in pushing disinformation and conspiracy theories. His anti-trans rhetoric is dangerous, he platforms fascist potatoes like Desantis and RFK Jr, he’s immune to making any decision that is distinguishable from a fifteen year old 4Chan user, and is weirdly attracted to teenage-presenting anime characters.
He’s not a target, he’s an attention-seeking narcissist

Poor Elon being targeted for the things he says and amplifies.

Reports are Twitter’s ad revenue is down 60% y-y.

Have you poked around in there lately? Deleted my account but occasionally will do a click-thru on news article or what not. Dumpster fire. Basically one notch above 4Chan lunacy. I'm sure you can find islands of coherency but it ain't what it used to be. The appeal for legitimate advertisers must wear thinner everyday; fake boner pills, crypto and gold scams.

Hasn't this always been the case in every society ever? I would imagine it was far worse back when information to backcheck wasnt immediately accessible and all you had to rely on was hearsay from your neighbor or a traveling newspaper reader. Politics used to be freaking violent and deadly (much more so than today) just 100 years ago. Im just saying lets not resort to hyperbole, lets keep some perspective.

Elon Musk is just voicing his opinion, on a platform he owns, amplified or not. It's a chump society that has somehow grown utterly dependent on Twitter.
That.......is the bigger issue.

27 million people turned in weekly to watch Coach. What’s your point?

The point is that only a small percentage of active twitter users log on specifically to follow Elon, there have been countless idological leaders with worse ideas and larger reaches in the past, and that saying this current iteration on twitter "is causing irreparable harm to society and by extension democracies in general" is quite hyperbolic.
