Anyone that cashes out and then puts all his cash on the table for his perception of the good of people other than him is a straight baller.

These have to be in the top ten stupidest posts I've ever read on this board, and I've been around awhile.

Earnings fraud can't keep going indefinitely. If Tesla is at 900 in two years and turning an annual profit are you going to still say Fraud? I'm not saying thats where it will be, but at what point do you have to admit you were wrong?

I don't think it's fraud, but the stock is way overvalued and the downside is a lot greater than any upside

    Ohhhhhh this should be good.

I imagine you'll say something about mathematically enforced deflation forcing investors to make better decisions or some such nonsense, when the reality is you just want people to buy in so your holding becomes worth more. Which is why an inherently deflationary medium is bullshit to begin with - it creates disincentive to do anything but hodl!

OK boomer. It's great. I listen to it in my bedroom on headphones on my bed before Mom calls me down for dinner. I dream of playing it in my Cybertruck on the open road, man I need to get a cybertruck poster for my walls ASAP. it'll match the Elon one I have!

$770 now. All the convertible debt will go away making the financials get that much better. TSLA bonds yielding 5% or less.

"Tesla posted a $386 million profit in the final three months of 2019 using the operating basis followed by most analysts and investors. That left it with a narrow $35.8 million profit for the year."

The sentence before that one says, "On a strict accounting basis the company posted yet another loss for 2019."

I don't want to split hairs on 2019 financials but we probably agree there's a good chance for profit in 2020 for them. 70+ seems crazy to me right now though but investing is full of mysteries and bullshit.

Me, 15 years ago, in Manila, interviewing an accountant candidate for a project: "You've seen the company's books; what do they say?"

Her: "What do you want them to say?"
