Banks never ever want to repossess assets other than cash.

High likelihood TWTR is out of compliance on debt covenants. This meeting is for management to explain how they are going to get back into compliance. If the bankers don’t get comfort from that meeting they can call the loans and sue to enforce.

At that point the company can find replacement financing, Elmo can pay off the debt (from sales of Tesla stock?) or TWTR can file for bankruptcy protection (likely Chapter 11) while they all figure something out.

Which is expensive and messy

And if TWTR keeps losing money or fails to pay post-petition creditors, the bankruptcy judge can kick out management and hire a trustee to run the business while it’s sold.

Which won’t help ad or subscription sales, or employee retention…

I caught a sliver of a Michael Lewis interview and he was discussing Sam Bankman-Fried who’s biography he has published. The behavior he described made me think autism spectrum, so I plugged it into google, yup diagnosed as a child. My mind turned to Elon and I thought hmmmmm…. similar. Sure enough diagnosed as a child with Asperger’s. I’ve tried to make myself listen to Musk’s biography on Audible but can’t make it happen. Maybe this winter while I commute to the hill.
