As bizarre as it gets. One can only imagine the glare from all of the flat glass.

Elon Musk: Smartest Guy in The World or Complete Clown?

Crazy. I’d consider it if my wife wouldn’t kill me.

It's actually uglier than an Aztek. Quite an achievement.

    Shit, I pre-ordered one.

The lines are starting to grow on me, and the janky pull out ramp is almost genius.

I was thinking that looks like something a high schooler would design after a gram or two of coke.

Maybe that's the problem. Musk is the proverbial high schooler let loose on the world with unlimited funds.

I'm probably (ok, definitely) the outlier here, BUT when I watched Marques Brownlee's video, at the beginning when I saw the truck rolled out I thought it was surely a joke. Thought it was ugly as sin. Was thinking they'd reveal the REAL truck later. Then I realized it wasn't a joke. BUT then slowly but surely it started growing on me a bit. By the end, I was thinking I kind of wanted one. I'm a huge fan of 80s era cyberpunk style though, so that's probably effecting my opinion a bit. Still wouldn't get one though because I'm not a truck guy and have zero need or desire to own one, but I can't deny that there's something rad about such a wild freaking concept. It's like John Delorean's coked-out spirit transferred to Musk after he died or something. Haha.

Lol,yeah. The first thing that came to mind was the old low poly count video games.
This looks like a truck one of the Lemmings would drive 2 dimensionally back and forth.

It's a rad truck for sure and only exists because it's Elon's pet project, I don't think he was expecting for a lot of people to like it or buy it....which is unfortunate for stockholders and investors . I'd feel like a giant douchebag driving around in one though, and I wouldn't want the attention, no way I'd buy one. But for all the bros who have no need for a truck and currently own a lifted F150 bromobile to feel macho and think they are what they own, this may be their next truck? And also a buncha tech dorks with giant egos who want to be like Elon and own a flamethrower he made would buy it.

Quite from a year ago: " If there’s only a small number of people that like that truck, I guess we’ll make a more conventional truck in the future"

Oh man, I just want to round that roof line off a bit. It looks like the tonneau cover is also a solar array, so maybe that is why the roofline is so dumb looking, so the solar cells can stack up when folded or retracted up to the roof. You could still accomplish that with a rounder roof. Do they have no designers that work there?

I hope the headlights are dimmable, or they are gonna be running people off the road.

Im sensing a theme. He could drive that down a crowded sidewalk on 5th avenue and youd still want one

Make a big splash then walk it back - I see him working.
Impressive towing and range, wonder if there's a dually option in the future?

My next truck won't be for 20 years (...) but I hope it's electric (and not this ugly).

The window breaks made me chuckle.

I think they did tap in to the core pick up truck market. People want street legal bulletproof tanks.. at least people who love military purpose weaponry do. I expect other vendors to also make bulletproof, (no really bulletproof lol) glass an option.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

If I can’t put a cap on it and sleep in the bed, it’s not a pickup.

That thing is fuggly as hell, although the grill-less front end is kinda refreshing...

I really, really want one. First EV in realistic terms (Rimac and Taycan sadly excluded) I could see myself being a proper douche in.
