need a 55-250 lens for canon eos rebel xsi

they're $300 at best buy. can't do that. i see them in some places used for $80 more or less, some refurbished. i've never bought camera equipment except at a store. i need to find on in the next two weeks.

any suggestions? i am not a camera person any more than i am a computer person.

Yep, don't hesitate to buy refurbished from Canon... I've purchased cameras and lenses and they're all just about perfect.

I bought my SL1 from the refurb site two years ago and it's been great. Plan to buy more stuff from there for sure.
