Holy shit I forgot about Conjunctivecostas!

Yeah, zika might save future Olympic broadcasts if it shrinks Bob's head, ego, preachiness, and overall airtime.

Yeah, you do a double climb of alpe d'Huez like that, without whining like a little bitch.

I remember him being led into the trailer bow legged with such pain etched on his face after it was over.

Some elite rowers I know are seriously considering not going to Rio. First it was rowing in pure raw sewage - when then ran the worlds there just about the entire team got hella sick from touching that water. Now it's the zika virus and the unknown implications. Pretty sad really as these guys have trained for close to decade to just be ready to race in 2016. I'm guess they go but it sure sucks to even have to contemplate not going.

Can we just stop having the olympics in broke ass fucked up countries? Seems to me that the olympics should rotate between about 5 cities that can afford to host them. The summer olympics should be in LA, Tokyo, Paris, Sydney, Berlin....

now, more golfers are considering dropping out. Jason day isn't sure and the rumor mill is up and rolling with rumors of others.

fine by me as golfers are usually spoiled kids anyways and they're not athletes. I mean boo weekly and probably 25% of the LPGA tour couldn't make it up a flight of stairs unless there was free ice cream at the top; rory mcillroy is probably the only golfer actually in any kind of shape. bringing back golf was just a viewer grab for the tv networks, I hope all the top golfers wuss out with zika fears and spoil the golf ratings.

It's on here. I wouldn't say I'm watching. I could have sworn I just heard them say that Trinidad and Tobago had people swimming in mercury. So I might not be at my most attentive.

Mostly I just want to see if my 8 yo nephew's new country of Alpacastan comes in riding (or wearing) alpacas. I'd hate myself if I missed that.

The guy tap dancing by himself in an empty stadium was pretty cool. Japan sure knows how to party.

Boy, are the Olympics going to suck

I was a little bit underwhelmed, but the part with 1800 drones was really cool!

Edit: my favorite moments of the ceremony: the final torch carrying in the stadium (it was really emotive), the drones, the control room scene, the kabuki scene, the animated pictograms and the jazz pianist (Hiromi Uehara).

I was on a Southwest flight tonight and I was too cheap to pay for internet and I didn't have earbuds but I got to watch Ireland almost nip Australia in women's crew on free tv with no sound on my phone. So that was aight.

Watching Alex Morgan lift up her jersey (I swear I saw sportsbra underboob) made watching the US women crushing New Zealand all the more enjoyable this morning.

On another note; why tf is 3 v 3 basketball an Olympic sport?

    Women’s four rowing on now.

Weird that half the boats are right left left right oars.
Others are alternating. Never noticed that.
