House is surrounded by ornamental tree beds, a few island tree wells, and a (without) koi pond. 400 bags is laying it down kinda thin.

Chem treated cedar chip needs to be replenished every 2-5 years or so. Depends on how diligent you are about raking, turning over and re-chem-ing the existing. Keeps the bugs outta the house and cuts out the smaller animal's living quarters. Snakes, chip monks, squirrels, rabbits and the like. Which keeps the fox and coyotes out of the immediate vicinity.

Sat out for about 30 minutes before my boys lax game. Beautiful day, not a soul in sight, best time to be at beach - off peak! I'm usually on the beach in Delaware over the summer. Frankly just rediscovering the jersey shore these days, plenty of quality if you know where to look.

Wife is from Watchung Hills, Mother-in-Law lives in Lavallette, & we are members of a German Sports club in Flanders. New Jersey is absolutely beautiful in many places with some great people living there.

What is the German sports club? Is that the place near Ashley’s farm?

My in laws have a farm in long valley and have fam in Chester/Mendham, so get back that way quite a bit.

Also some fun single track to be had in Allamuchy and Stephens. Will be out Saturday am for a ride in deer park probably... need to peddle myself into shape before getting back in mooch north.

I'm having a hard time imagining what a German Sports Club actually is. Well I imagine lots of calisthenics, precisely done in group formation, but that's probably wrong.

Seriously lacking in the diversity Department, I hear they have two african americans on the force now.

Do they (NJSP) fill out the ranks of the German Sports Club in Flanders too?

Lived in Long Valley from 2002-14, my son attends the regional high school in town.

It was/is occasionally difficult to be in public places like the Town Fair or fireworks or other public social gatherings. This is the hometown of Army Ranger Jamie Smith; killed and dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. His mother and father are essentially forced into attending public gatherings.

I was introduced to Jamie's parents as one of his brothers in arms in 04 - Memorial Day Parade in Hackettstown. Even though we served 13 years apart. We always seem to get herded together in public places. Of course, just not me, other vets too. Not to my liking
