OG 188cm Praxis Protest w/ STH12, Praxis Freeride 174cm flat, both great condition
Hey hey, thinning out my quiver
First up is a pair of first gen 188cm Protest mounted with Salomon STH12s. These have seen approx. 25 days and are in great structural condition. Top sheets are 7/10 with usual Praxis top sheet edge issues. Bases are 9/10 with no core shots or noticeable scratches really. These only came out on 12"+ days. I'm a 40 yo ex-racer / finesse skier so 0 drops, cliffs or airs.
Only issues with these skis are: 1. Edges need some tuning. Got a little rusty sitting in the garage. 2. My pup gave them some love and chewed on the end of one of the brakes. This doesn't impact the performance of the brakes at all and you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking.
Asking: $200 mang special
Praxis Freeride 174cm (pre-rocker): Really love these skis but I got a pair of GPOs 2 seasons back and LOVE LOVE those on anything but ice so the Freerides didn't make it out a single day this season. Time to find them a new home and get a dedicated carver to compliment the GPOs. These are in excellent overall condition 8/10. Slight top sheet edging and scuffs on the tails and that's it really. Bases are 9/10. Drilled once for small Marker Dukes on the line.
Asking: $200 flat or $400 with small 2013 EPF Dukes
I'm in LA now but going to try and sneak one more trip to Mammoth and Tahoe in this year so might be able to drop in person

Free bump ... if you need an awesome ski, this $200 deal on those Protests is damn good.
I have this same vintage. It's one of the most fun skis ever in anything soft and unreal in deep snow.
sdehlert: do you remember where you mounted these? mine didn't have a line/dimple and I mounted 101.5 straight back from the tip.

Hey everyone, sorry for dropping off, I just had a new baby so a lot going on.
N1ck, I bought them brand new from a guy who had just mounted them for my exact BSL. These also don't have the dimple / line but they skied so good I never bothered moving or playing with the mount. And yes, hands down the most fun I've ever had on skis is on these bad boys.
But with 2 boys under 2, now living in LA, plus going full Dynafit / AT these aren't going to see the snow as much as they deserve. I hate to see them go but it seems a crime to have them sit in my garage. I'd rather somebody else rip it with that sh*t eating grin you get from riding these in deep
