Thread: Commercials I Hate

Same here, no TV since 2013 and I only have to sensor some commercials if I watch youtube stuff with my daughter. Only thing I've missed without TV is the Grand Slam Tennis but some of that can be had on the web.
Old jingles/commercials...someone today getting car repaires mentioned AAMCO and in my head I heard "Double A, HONK HONK , MCO" seems like it's a million year old commercial and there was some creepy mechanic (not generalizing) but maybe it's still on?

Commercials selling gold/fear especially those that quote past performance.
Commercials for investments that "go up when the market is up, and lose no value when the marketing is down."

Radio and TV black wannabe white Xcel energy guy pisses my wife off...especially funny since she works for Xcel. Never fails to turn whatever he's on off.

oooh been meaning to post this one. For some reason I really dislike this ad:

I HATE FLO.
Best commercial I've seen in the last 10 years (or has it been longer)--Eminem for Chrysler--"imported from Detroit", with a lot of imagery from my home town.

I don't watch enough tv to have commercials I hate. I don't really ever watch commercials.

This piece of video ipecac sent me lurching for the remote when it came across the screen. (In my defense I was watching a recorded episode of Wheeler Dealer on Velocity.)
Not only is it foul beyond belief - It runs for a full two minutes.
"Because nothing says I'm a patriot like pulling an American flag out of a stuffed bears ass."Damn, we're in a tight spot!

My 2 year old loves watching Pepa Pig on Youtube with the AppleTV. Before each video they play a commercial for anti-depressant medication. Really? Are parents this miserable or are kids being groomed to be pill popping adults?

my "favorite" from back in the day was for a diet pill made from grapefruit, and they have someone ask a fake scientist, "how does it work?" The answer was "the secret appears to be in the grapefruit." Ah, well that explains it then!
