We are losing some of the greats at an alarming rate. I get that some we've lost are just the older generation, but this guy? 57? Not fat, not a known drug addict...such a friggin shame.

I'm taking this pretty hard. Just such a loss. Truly one of the greatest musicians ever and definitely one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. So glad I got to see him at the Ogden Theater a couple years ago here in Denver. Probably only 1,000 people as it wasn't sold out ($250 tickets), Sunday night, 10yds from the man himself. Played everything I wanted to hear. One of the best shows ever.

Also, I'm grew up in the Quad Cities where he recently made that emergency landing due to the flu. If this is related in any way to the care he received, I'm renouncing my hometown.

Yep. Me also... a fascinatingly strange and talented man. I would guess that a lot of stuff that hasn't been heard or known from him will come out now.
