Why would I waste my time? I don't have anything to prove to an industry shill.

You're going to have to wallow in your short man syndrome all by yourself.

You'd need to get Colonel Sanders to even show up first.

I'm a little over the hill these days and no longer ride with a bash, but sure. Trials type stuff too. Though I am looking at building up a hardtail where I might run a bash guard.

Why bother? I can drive less than an hour and be somewhere more challenging.

What do you consider tall? If you are actually tall you would realize how nice bigger wheels are.

I'm kinda tall, 6'1"...but have always preferred medium sized bikes. No need for big wheels, this isn't monster trucking.

I grew up riding BMX in the '70s and early '80s. Transitioned to Mtb in the '80s and I would never go back to 26" for Mtb. I'm 6'5". The bikes just fit better.

And that's great for you. However, what about short guys like kidwoo, or guys who ride technical terrain like myself, who think 26" is superior? Why wouldn't they continue to offer them, when there is certainly a large segment of serious mountain bikers that prefer them?

The bike industry (a bunch of asshats) says 26" is obsolete - that we've been using the wrong wheel size for 30 years. What? They are full of shit. Even worse, they are lying scum.

Thus, I take the correct, opposite point of view - mountain bikes with 650b and 700c (road bike sized) wheels are a waste of time, an industry scam, for posers who can't ride, and don't build up an effective bike. People who buy them are sheep.

    Disjointed ramblings:
I tried juniors nomad with 27.5 and it felt faster

Scoping new rubber there was limited options for 26

    Haven't tried 29

27.5 makes for a wheel that is .75 " taller

I would buy a 27.5 when i need a new bike but the 26 will be fine for awhile longer

How did they arrive at 26" for the wheel size of a mtn bike... Probably at random

I akin riding a 26 to a 2 stroke motorcycle vs a 29, 4 stroke. Depends on what you're looking for. I sold my 26 for a 29 and I have to admit I made a mistake. A 26 feels lighter and more playful, while a 29, not so much.

The funny thing is how much better 29ers are for slow, pokey riding like damian does.

They really help you "clean sections™" without "dabbing™", which prevents your headband from getting too sweaty.
