No need, already running the uber deadly carbon bars. Crank Brothers ones for extra death.

I like how people are defending tape tubeless ON CONVENTIONAL, NON-TUBELESS READY TIRES AND RIMS by saying it only occasionally burps on them.

As if any burping is acceptable.

FYI, I'm running a single layer of tyvek tape, cut to width. Works fine. On a UST profile tubeless ready rim, and UST compatible tubeless ready tire.

Rim tape (or god forbid, Gorilla Tape!) and sealant alone don't work and aren't safe? Damn, I need to go back four years and tell myself that so I don't do anything stupid.

That's what I've been doing for years, and- knock on wood- I've never had a single issue. And I ride fairly hard, for a guy on the internet.

    Yep, this ^^^.

It's crazy how shitty it feels to have a tube in there.

To add to the madness, I will add my positive anecdotal data points consisting of UST and Stans rims (both yellow tape and Gorilla) with non tr maxxis tires....but anecdotally, I believe similar combinations almost murdered Kidwoo.

I've had supposedly UST combos that worked so horribly I'd wake up in the middle of the night with a bleeding tire hovering over my bed trying to choke me. Evil!!!

Usually tubeless both does work better........but not always. Words like 'kenda' tend to fuck things up.

I've run various tubeless setups, TR and other. I've also run all different TPI sidewall tires from 126tpi XC race tires up to gazzaloddi's, and 90g panaracer greenlight tubes, up to 500g motocross tubes. I'm plenty sensitive to tire feel, and don't have any real problem with running tubes, even heavy ones, if that's what needed to get the job done.

    Fucking tubeless flats

Another happy taped tubeless user. One strip of gorilla on a wtb rim works for me. Lots of lift assisted downhilling at Keystone and Winter Park on the setup with decent size jumps, drops and slamming through rock gardens. Haven't died yet.

I broke my collarbone last Saturday. Not sure, but it could have been from the shitty tubeless setup I'm rocking. Will spend the next 8 weeks investigating.

    That sucks.

The only reason I knew it was my tire is because I had hit this jump 100+ times as it's on my lunch ride and I was on the ground before I knew what happened. Later, I saw that my front tire was flat. My helmet worked...which was nice.

I tore my A/C joint instead of my collarbone a bunch of years ago. I was JRA, and BANG I'm on the pavement. I thought my front tire tubeless setup pulled off, or the BANG was a flat. The noise was my ligament popping.

did you notice the word "modern" in the post you flipped out over?
most "modern" mountain bike rims and tires (the good stuff, anyway) are tubeless ready.
    Thanks for playing.

Maybe ask rog to not use your account.
    No longer stuck.
