I've been looking for a Bacchus Explorer since 2012, when I stupidly didn't buy a Pelham Blue one last-minute because I figured I'd just get one next time. Turns out they didn't make many and they're nearly impossible to find! I've been to every shop in Ochanomizu and Shibuya every year since and haven't seen another. This one showed up on u-box in April. They wouldn't ship to me due to CITES regulations on rosewood but after a bit of back and forth I was able to convince them to hold it for me for six weeks! It's not PB, but at this point beggars can't be choosers.

The reddit posts have some pretty good insight from his family as well and an abundance of outreach. Good stuff.

I like it a lot. Sound is phenomenal. A couple niggling details but I don’t see ever selling it.

I’m getting much better at stuff I’m familiar with but I’m sort of stagnating. I’m too broke for lessons now and I’m just not sure where to go next. Still playing everyday and loving it.

Just picking guitar up again for the past month after a couple years stop. But i really want to get into it now that I know what I want to play. FuNk and grooves and all sorts.
Does anyone have any online resources for music theory they really like? I want to get some parking lot apres ski jams in.

I post these hoping they don't get interpreted as some sort of braggadocio as that is not the intent. I have collected guitars and amps for years (nothing terribly high-end, just axes/amps I like for one reason or another), and recently have had the opportunity to give them a room of their own. Haven't ever really been able to do that before, or see them grouped together. There is one more amp (bigger) and a few more guitars that are still put away as they represent quiver overlap.
I thought it looked kinda cool and figured some of you guitar heads would enjoy it too. And I still suck too.
