I don't have time to get into the physics of why, but no, it doesn't work that way.

So I definitely considered this for a bit, but I guess I don't need a work specific $24k vehicle.
So feel free to snipe if you want.
Ridiculous low miles, must have been a dealership parts truck.

Or it's a lemon that was in the shop more than it was driving.

Understood. You are a busy man.
I'm guessing that 400V would blow the hairdryer to smithereens.

Would the added weight of a battery swap in say, a Honda Pilot, help with potential rollover issues or does the physics not work with that either?

I postulate that properly located it might counteract the weight of the driver and actually increase the stability of the vehicle.
Though I defer to someone with more knowledge of physics and static and dynamic load calculations than myself to confirm this.

You forgot to factor in propensity of the driver to finish drives ass-up.

The distance between the detent position for 1st and the hard stop may still be enough if it's just got a little too much play.
The mechanic advised the same. It wasn’t obvious to me. I have not had a chance to do this yet, it’s been raining or dark or I’ve been working against hard deadlines.

But I got the black gorilla tape “sealant” on the crack rubber of the sunroof. No leaking the past few days. That’s a nice improvement.

$12.50 shipped for a pair from UAE. What is this world?

So I've pretty much come to the conclusion that everything used between about $2500 and $15k is just varying degrees of nice that will either crap out, be a hassle or be more expensive to keep running then you want it to be. I think what it comes down to is what your pain threshold is.

Not really those either unless 10+ years and 200k+ has become painless. 2010 Rav 4's with 150k are going for $12-15k unless they're thoroughly beat, then they drop to about 8k. CRVs are all beat and rusty. I looked at a couple of each today along with 2 Pilots. Do their owners take classes in how to fuck up your car in parking lots?

Have you added up the total money spent on your LR and compared that to the cost of something nicer upfront?

But what about his Esteem? I don't think he's up for that kind of Charade.

Perhaps GL should consider climbing up to the Ridgeline to gaze upon Tahoe or the Yukon, depending on whatever he Envisions. But he definitely should be careful to avoid causing an Avalanche.
