you could buy a clean e30 for less money and still have money to do an engine swap. Or buy one already swapped, for way less.

true but for nostalgic reasons I would prefer the CE

the 1st one I had was under powered and with that additional 500lb convertible frame reinforcement didn't help.
when I got a 320 24 valve it was a huge improvement but I did pass on 500 version someone ordered from Germany....wish I had purchased that

the one in the picture is V-8 conversion

He was expecting it and knew the clutch was going when he bought it. It's part of the game. Single owner car though, really really good condition otherwise.

I bought a 2003 M3 a year ago and am very happy with my purchase. Doing work to it right now and it will be ready to drive hard on the track this summer.

How it sits right now. replacing almost every rubber bushing and mount for something stiffer for the track.

The single owner is huge. Much less wear and tear on the passenger seat.

No, I drove an 850i in HS (not that I had one to drive, I drove one, one time). That was prolly 25 years before you drove yours.

The Lion King! He had matted fur badly so we had to shave him. He is happy and healthier now.

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this here before either but my car was owned previously by Tommy Moe the Olympic Gold medalist.

A 13 year old BMW V8 with 75k miles on the clock. I mean it's a smart buy right? I think the price is nuts, but I guess I'll let someone like Beer Drinker weigh in on that. What could possibly go wrong?

What's caught your eye lately that's got you thinking about throwing money down the drain?
Engine probably needs to be resealed.

I don't fuck with BMWs, they are money pits 9/10 times.

I personally started looking at F355s lately. Talk about paying to get kicked in the balls. I think they will appreciate quickly though.

Maybe that's a problem with the 500s? My 2006 E350 4Matic Wagon has absolutely no cooling issues whatsoever.

I have owned more cars over 10 years old than I can count. Buy the right rig and you're laughing. Buy the wrong one and you're bleeding. Only rule of thumb is that if you can't fix at least basic things yourself like radiators, water pumps, suspension, brakes, etc., don't do it.

Just picked up my new project, a 1976 CJ5 with 19K on it. So far it's been the tits.

Meh, not to much point to buying new IMO, my current vehicular is 12y/o and is mechanically sound… now that's said it will probably explode in the driveway.

I'm kind of curious as to what Tommy Moe used to drive.
