The firm would want him to move somewhere like Tokyo, Seoul or Hong Kong.
They have 12 offices around the world, but intermountain is not one of them.

If you are talking about M4 at the dealer's parking lot, I already clarified it was the dealer who parked.

    Why not Tokyo?

Bullet train to Nagano would be faster than trying to ski out of Denver!

Yeah. I'd do that. You're young, have no kids, nothing tying you down.

Tokyo is awesome, skiing is a train ride away, and when will you get a chance to do that down the road.

    Fuck Ogden, move to Omotesando.

You guys have a great point over Tokyo.
But he lost his dad few years back and his mom's aging.
He doesn't want to be so far from his family which I understand.
That's why we are limiting the relocation as far as Utah.
Reason why we need a major airport by us.

As usual with these kinds of threads, I'm delighted to see many of my favorite places not mentioned.

Rock Springs is probably the best kept secret though.

Speaking of which, Mobile Bay is notoriously shallow and hard to sail around if you don't know the tides and the channels.

Have you taken your sailboat's draft into account in your decision nutmegchai?

Japan consumes more whiskey and whisky than just about anywhere else in the world. I've found bourbons I've only read about there that I couldn't find in years living in Bourbon Country.

But if we're to stick to your original criteria Tokyo offers more of what you are looking for. Unless you're looking for sheep. Scotland hands down has more sheep.

We are not moving to south.
I lived in Houston for 8 years and my days in the south are done.

Have you ruled out Tianuana then? Good access to San Diego's international airport and plenty of skiing available.

Turned out my salary got $20,000 pay cut and it's not even worth working free lance here since they would pay $25-35 per hour rate (I used to get $65 per hour else where).
There are so many designers in this town who are willing to take the job I turned down.
Because of that, we are bringing each other in market.
New York does not pay well except handful of professions.
Most people have 2-3 jobs to make ends meet.
You "get by" making 6 figure.
If you can make it in NY you can make it anywhere! Vancouver or Bend sounds better. Go to CAN and be a expat or Bend and be a part time farmer!

Raising standards of professions while staying competitive is tough. With the talk of supposedly socialist ideals and the big bad corporation, many people working hourly wages fall back onto doing and expecting the minimum, which leads to more mediocre cycles of production from companies hiring your talent.....

If he's in an office job, he'll probably work 80 hours a week. But you take the Shinkansen every weekend to Hokkaido which is set to begin service at the end of the month. 4 hours from Tokyo to Sapporo, that's about how long the drive from Boulder to Vail is when it's snowing.
