    Did a small water float.

Spooked several million fish, caught one.

Fished some high water on a small creek.
Notice Batboy's improvised hat. I advised him where to cross the creek.
He didn't make it. He's had a rough go of it this summer.

Went to a spot I'm still trying to crack. Been there twice and caught a big one each time, but still have work to do.

Had a fun evening with the boys.

Did the float with the fun put in.

Batboy broke my favorite fishpole before we even made an oarstroke.
He made up for it by getting the bow quite slimy.

Later in the day, I broke his favorite fishpole, not on purpose.
Then I did this to him. Again, not on purpose.
    Past the barb.

    Long day. Worth it.

    Went back to the playground.

    Played with some new toys.

    Squeezed some new fish.

    DSFK

I finally met SLSS and we climbed a mountain.

    There was water on top.

    Batboy fucking scored.

    Family float.

    Nephew squeezed his first.

    I saw a hilarious sign.

    Mornings started to get frosty.

    Nother family booze cruise.

When we did the hike with SLSS we had walked by some choice water.
Batboy and I went back to fish it.

Lando rocked up to work on his trout tickle game.

    Almost got one.

I stole a fish from him.

    Then gave him a fish.

    Found an old costume.

Caught a fish under a bobber in August.

Batboy has a 1wt that we have been exercising.

My dad is a mountain biker.
    I am a fisherman.
    My son enjoys both.
We found an activity and arena where we can do it all.

    Summer is over.
We've had two snows on the peaks already.
There is still much to do.

Chased warm water fish, sucked a lot of fumes, covered a lot of water. Mostly skunked except for the lucky few times.

Got out for the first time this year today, and managed to catch the smallest fish I've ever caught. That's a #16 Rocky Mountain Mint for reference.....

It was a real treat to have a guide on this expedition. Little tidbits like Snoopy Rock and where to fill up water halfway through are things I could not have provided. Mr. Dibs, Mr. Toaster, and Kesswer the furkid were great company for my wife and me, our spawn, and my mother.

The nostril and nipple crises were good learning experiences. I now feel more confident with the removal trick.

    El launcho.

The impetus of this trip was my mom's birthday. Her most favorite thing is overnights on the river.

He was really excited to poop in a box.
Alas, it was too tippy for him so he had his own grover.

    S'mores, mandatory gear.

    Mr. Toaster.

    She's 68.

    Thanks again, Dibs.
Looking forward to doing the whole thing.

I am a terrible photographer and fly-fisherman, but the wife and I landed a few brookies this weekend in southern VT
It felt like autumn and was beautiful

Mrs. Binky's first trout caught on a fly. She is very proud of herself

    She rewarded herself with this

The largest of the fish caught. Absolutely terrible photo (and, no, I was not squeezing the life out of the poor fish)

I thought maybe that, or, 'training' for the difference between summer pack weight and winter pack weight. Seems to have under-shot it a bit if that's the case though

Also, apparently someone caught a 32 incher out of the Eagle during the tournament last weekend!http://www.vaildaily.com/news/americ...-championship/
