New England is typically considered the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Respectively the 39th, 45th, 46th, 44th, 48th and 50th biggest states. Collectively they would only make the 18th largest state.
Its not like he is saying lets meet up in Alaska, or Texas, or California, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada Colorado, Oregon, Wyoming, Michigan, Minnesota, Utah, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, or South Dakota.
Its kinda more like saying lets meet up in Washington or North Dakota.
