Gaspesian Wanderings 2/11-2/14
Low tide winter in Vermont prompted an impromptu storm chasing trip in the middle of last week to the Chic Chocs with VTcoldsmoke and our buddy Art in far eastern Quebec. Every time I go I am reminded how much of a paradise this place is for those who like to hike/climb for their turns. We scored huge on the whim of a road trip with some storm skiing and then the last day of getting after some bigger stuff.
Groggy dudes stoked on the Alpine start
Day 1 VTcoldsmoke and Art enjoying the Quebec bounty in some of the best steep tree skiing I have ever done
Day 2 the snow kept coming and we didn't want to see other people so we took a long access tour to some great bowl skiing
Sending it back to the car

The final day 3 brought clearing skies and the first visibility window we really got to get into the Alpine and run a few laps.
Just a life times worth of skiing here, I can never get enough of it
Getting those final top turns in
Evening Alpine Glow was starting, time for the 500 mile drive home after 8 km out.
Have a hut up there booked for a week in March, can't wait to get back. Thanks for checking it out all!Last edited by thin cover; 02-20-2016 at 09:18 AM.

Earned turns, looks awesome!
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
