A lot of additional info in the original PSA https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...3P-Limited-Run
Got the calipers out today and measured overall thickness of the skis (193 SG standard flex and 189 BG standard flex) and came out with 15.3-mm for SG and 15.2-mm for BG. Also, just for fun measured a few more BG’s I have in the mix. My son’s 179’s came to 14.8-mm, 184’s came to 15.0-mm, and my 2014 186’s measured 14.5-mm.

Measurements were made at the mount point line to attempt a consistent outcome.

The 193, 189, and 186 were all bought firsthand by me and have never seen a tuning machine since leaving the factory. Not sure whether the 179 or 184 have ever been tuned.

So, the standard SG is technically “thicker” but I would not say that it is by a substantial margin. They are also visibly about 2-mm wider in the waist versus the BG (118 vs 116).

Some interesting bits on woodsman108s from Jonathan Ellsworth of Blister: "Strong like a wren, yet more centered and playful like a kartel. Could be a great comp ski." Color me intrigued.

Iggy et al - if you were looking for a 182 WD108, would you be hitting refresh over the weekend to see if any show up in the In-Stock Custom Sale, or will that remain 187s only?

No 182cm WD108 customs in stock. Would have to be made to order at $100 off with Custom20 code. First custom production window closes on the 1st. Inventory online is what we have, sans a small handful of pairs (5-8ish) still in finishing (and those are 181 M102, 186 J108, and 187 WD108).
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Got on my new 184cm Wren 114's to enjoy the Mammoth pow day yesterday. Conditions were variable. Some places it had accumulated and covered up the firm base, others not so much. Definitely a bunch of frozen land mines around, but who is complaining when skiing pow on Memorial Day w/ their 10yr old charging w/ a big group of dads!

Loved the skis! Very stoked. Could charge or make short turns. Couldn't really test tip diveage with the firm base, but the skis outperformed my expectations for the day since it wasn't super deem. Wished I had taken them to Alaska! Whoever made the comment that they were made for Mammoth was spot on.

Highly likely a pair of Billy Goat's and Wren 108's will be hitting gear sway next fall. If anyone wants the 108's w/ P18's that are in excellent shape let me know. Thanks Iggy!

sounds great! Glad to hear that they were a better match for how you like to ski.

To be honest I must admit to being a bit surprised that there wasn't more intereset for the w114s, but oh well. Too bad they didn't get a year two to see if the sales picked up a bit, or if the topped out like SGs.

That being said - I am super thrilled that Iggy developed and offered them to us. I am positive they will be a staple of my quivers for years to come.

Trigger pulled. If this erection lasts much longer I'm going to have to call a specialist. (Woodsman indeed.)

Srsly, thanks to Scott (or Scott's intern) for putting up with some old man questions about length & weight and such via the on3p chat window. I pulled my frikkin hamstring playing teeball yesterday. SO OLD.

The ON3P guys are a bunch of great guys. I'm in Portland for the weekend and dropped by the factory completely unannounced. Trevor was the unlucky soul that was stuck showing me around the factory floor and teaching me about ON3P's special stuff. After entertaining my inane questions, he succeeded an convincing me to take a pair of the final prototype Woodsmans. I can't wait to try 'em out.

    ON3P SKIS Discussion

    December yet?

    182cm Woodsman 96 protos
161cm Jess 96 for Mrs. Doremite.

Expecting both to be east coast all ‘rounders when stuff is tolerably soft and ~100% open

Ya know, I hadn’t planned on nor “needed” new skis for next year when the wife goes and runs over my Kartel 98’s with her car on accident. Broke 1 of the skis behind the heel binding. Oh darn... Guess I need/get to replace them with some custom Woodsman’s. Schucks!

Not sure “how” but skis were leaned against wall of garage to dry after last time skiing. Quite probable 1 slipped under her car? Who knows, not too torn up about it.

As for singles, these are customs so that is highly unlikely (veneer, stock layup, 22oz glass, extra Carbon). I “wanted” a pair of Woodsman and now I “need” a pair...

Ouch. Wasn’t blaming her or trying to be accusatory, just curious. Sound like a nice ski to meet such an unfortunate end....

It’s all good mate, didn’t take it as accusatory at all. I’m as puzzled as you are by the situation. They were exceptionally nice skis and saw many days on snow in Tahoe, Mt Hood and Whistler.

Have to admit tho, after a season spent mostly on my Cease & Desists or Caylors, I really grew to like that flex profile (round). Talked with Iggy earlier and he confirmed my thoughts on how to achieve that with the Woodsman (which if I’m being honest, is what I was trying to make the Kartel’s into).

So, soon a new pair will join the quiver!
