    ON3P SKIS Discussion

I heard that’s going to feature magnetraction edges from libtech with a WNDR alpine core, and a steel top sheet.

    ON3P SKIS Discussion

The “ON3P can do nothing wrong” sympathizers just don’t get it. People have loved their product and came to expect (1) a high level or quality in the product and (2) a customer-obsessed approach to doing business. For some customers, those two things have changed. For others, they are non-issues. But to act as if there hasn’t been issues with both topics (and some quite recently) is just disingenuous.

That being said, my daughter rocked her Jessie 102’s the other day and continues to absolutely love them.

what, no DPS pre-preg carbon too, with Keyhole magic to sprinkle that extra fairy rubber dust on the shaped titanal transfusing the split bamboo core into awesomeness?

well, dammit - 2024 is already off to a rotten start.

The factory can be reached pretty easily by email/phone to answer questions.

Has anyone tried out the new 100 waist-width models? I am curious about how the new rocker profile feels. If not I will probably call and ask questions.

I got a pair of Mango 100s last season at the garage sale. I've been riding them when I'm with slower friends and they're pretty fun to mess around on and surprisingly capable when I decide to push them a little bit. I definitely need an all-mountain/freeride ski though...

This made me laugh harder than it should have… All these years later and it’s STILL funny…

No. Your post made me laugh.

But Velo/Vail/Aever is okay with me. Let the past be the past. He’s stoked about skiing and jumping all in on fun and exciting gear. He’s a bit of a kindred spirit and I appreciate his enthusiasm for skiing…and for the next iteration of the Billy Goat. Hard to fault a guy for that. [emoji6]

Last week I finally took the BGs out the shed based on some positive weather data, and in the time it took to pick down 600ft of rain saturated heavily rutted hard pack the lift that supposedly would have held the goods went on wind hold. I have been forced back to low tide cruisers and a rock touring setup for at least the last 5 ski days.

I am not a spiritual person, but I can't help feeling past comments I made could have led to this cursed season. I promise I have learned my lesson, and hope this sincere apology to the BG gods will allow a return to a more appropriate snow pack for the use of your gift to us.

Skied the new updated J108 in Revelstoke, had around 15-30cm of new stuff in most spots and these things handled like I remember. As soon as it’s soft these things become so much fun. Also even on the hard stuff, didn’t notice anything weird but they definitely are a soft snow bias ski hahah.
Comparing these to my K108s, they definitely ski very close to the same and can’t really notice the tweaks they made. Still feels like the same great ski.
Do recommend these skis to someone thinking about it.

I just hear from Iggy that "...BG molds are finally going into the press in around 10 days..." after being moved to the right a bit due to a lot of custom orders. So they should be on offer in the not too distant future

It will be interesting to get more info on the BG108 as well, and the rumored wider Jeff

Another plug for Jeff 118 as a one of the best progressive resort pow ski. If you’re on the fence just pull the trigger you won’t regret it

Spent most days last season on the 118 and it made most of the crew jealous with how fast and composed I could ski through chop. Convinced one of them to get a pair and after a day at the resort he’s a believer and singing their praises.

Can confirm. Stay pretty centered and just let them roll and at the same time they float really well.

    Also. That top sheet fucks.

What's the mount point on that J118, around -4 cm from center? If so, anyone running them at -6?

Lately I've been really comfortable on -6 cm skis, and coming from some old skis that I still have at around -12 (soon to be retired hopefully) - I'm hesitant to step forward to such a progressive / near center mount. I also tend to use cuff spoilers, have them in my Recon 130s right now (combined 14 degree lean?) and not sure yet how I'll be driving my Cochise 120s (13 degree) so that also makes me hesitant to go all the way up to -4. Should I just sack up and try a J118 on the line if I come across a solid deal?

I'm window shopping to eventually replace my current 118 mm ski with something that is much looser and likes to smear as much as carve; my current ski in that slot mostly wants to make GS turns down the fall line, despite decent rocker it's not that loose due to big camber too ... which is fun for the first 2 hours of a pow day but less so as my poor stamina and conditions both deteriorate. Looking for something that likes to have fun playing with natural features at slower speeds, pivots and smears. I keep hearing the BG is for destroying the snow as fast as possible, so the Jeff seems more inline with my goals? Stylistically, if Blizzard made a Rustler 12 that would be kind of the versatility and ability to have fun at different speeds I'm looking for, I love my R11s for storm skiing but at some point wider would be better.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

I can’t comment on coming from more traditional mount points as I like mounts around -4 and thats about what the Jeff is at. I will add to the hype and say the Jeff (108 or 116) are my favorite skis ever.

Something else to throw in the mix, k2 reckoners feel like light versions of the Jeffery’s and the 122 or 112 versions can be found for dirt cheap. If you’re looking for something for slower speeds and little booters, the lighter weight may be fun (and cheap).

Actually now that I have it typed out, Nevermind. Jeff’s are the best ski ever, get a pair

I have the Jeff 118 mounted at -6 and absolutely love it. Most of my skis are mounted further back than that (HL 99AM, Blizzard Brahma). I certainly ski with a bit of a more upright stance but the ski does a phenomenal job at busting through everything and allows for a much more playful style. I do notice the tail, in length and width but find I adapt to it fairly quickly.

And don’t forget, before the woodsman, many people were mounting the Jeffery at -2

I’ve been loving the Moment Countach at rec (-8) and I love the Jeffery at rec. Just takes me a run to get back in the stance at -4.25. Both skis just feel dialed to me.

I would not be hesitant to mount them at rec. Remember, they have a shit ton of rocker and splay out back, so unless you are wanting to trade some looseness for stronger tails by going -2, rec should be golden - they should stil have ample float. I would imagine that you could ski them pretty similarly to wood110s. If you want to be able to drive them more then BGs are made for just that - upright stance chargy skiing.

Nice find. The same person's got some Bibby Pros in 184 and a custom pair of Jeff 102s in 171 for nice prices.
