Nice, thanks. Sounds like we have similar taste.

The recent iterations of the Wren are quite good in pow (I haven't skied the 110 but the tip geometry looks similar to the 108 I had and the 118 was a GREAT ski for dry/light continental snow) but they are more of a traditional ride, i.e. not super loose. The BG will drift.

Love some of the customs this year. Hawaiian Alpine, PDX, and of course the Botanicals.. the Botanicals seem a bit more feminine to me, but its always good to have a graphic both sexes can get behind.. I know some of the Jessie graphics have been hit or miss in the past, but my gf and I dig these.

Yeah, put me in the 'too much' camp. That said, I'm trying to figure out which topsheet for the Woodsman 110......probably just leaning towards the stock graphic. Look Pivot 15 Forza bindings.

I say do it, I'm not always into the loud option but that's awesome.

    ON3P SKIS Discussion

    Thanks North, sf, and jackattack.

All of your comments cleared my head a lot.

Yes, the Rens are awesome in new snow… but isn’t everything awesome in new snow? I’d like to designate it as my storm ski. Then grab a BG118. Because once things get cut up the lack of suspension gets tiring.

    Nice choice! Welcome back

Just completed my order. Custy BG110s in 187 stock flex. Will save my design idea for the reveal.

What do folks think about a woodsman 102 vs woodsman 110 vs BG 110 for a 75% touring, 25% inbounds Tahoe ski? Leaning 50/50 core our full tour either way but can be convinced otherwise. I have a woodsman 96 for real firm and some praxis concepts for deeper days inbounds. I want something for a few days after storm skis inbounds as well as storm day (and right after) mellow touring. Would mount with inserts for pivots and pins. I really love my 96 woodsmans but don't know if the 102 would cause a lot of overlap? 96 + 110 would be a quiver but maybe I go with the 102s and sell the 96s... Not sure.

Lighter and shorter skier but ex-racer. Not hucking things huge or ski backwards but prefer something a little more maneuverable.

I never really left though, lol. I'll still be hate banging the mountain on 186 grizzlycorn goats till they die and touring on Steeple 108s. Just satisfying the desire to ride the super goat-esque shape in a length and flex more suited to my weakling self. I'm pumped to point these missiles down some mediocre snow at Alpy this year.

Yeah dude, give them a try, you won't regret it. Chop might as well be untracked.

Is the reason I say this:

I have tour BG's and while they might plane up in low density snow just slightly easier, the reality of resort skiing in most places these days is that you're not skiing pure untracked snow for very long. Maybe 3 runs, tops. The standard layup BG still floats plenty in low density snow and crushes chop, making it a better resort ski anywhere.

The BG Tour is brilliant for touring though.

    For resort powder skiing:
    Coastal/maritime snow = stock BG
Light/interior snow = 50/50 or Tour (based on preference)

I'm looking at the tour core as a PNW touring ski, but can't imagine choosing a lighter core for my regular powder ski at Alpental.
I’ve skied my BG Tours a decent amount at Alpy and I support your thinking.

a snazzy lady in a striped silk romper and big shades, shakin ass down the stairs just a little too fast after a third White Claw... that topsheet is the slow-mo tunnel-vision view of the 12 year old boy about to get a 4 inch heel through his hand as he darts out to retrieve his Benjamin-on-a-string gag 3 seconds too late.

Pick it. Harlaut or Gold? CAST will happen…because why wouldn’t it?

It’ll get skied a lot in the forest locally with a few trips to Hakuba for prime season side country.
