That could be, or it could be that putting a newbie on a stock ON3P could create a threshold caused by the ski being more than he/she can easily handle that could limit the progression in the short run - I do not know, but ON3P sure does.

Jeffs are slightly stronger throughout than Mags no? I just have this feeling that a softer ski would be even easier to learn on, mostly based on my experience with the k98/108s and this review

At some point here we might put a page up that has all the available topsheets so people can see what is available, just haven't had time as of yet.

I haven't skied nor hand flexed the J102, but do have J108s from last season. It's hard to rate flex, because every company has a different idea of a "7 out of 10" flex, and so does every individual. That being said, my J108s are not noodles, but have a flex of what I would say is a 7 in the tips of the ski.. these things are pretty stout underfoot and in the shovels in my opinion, but flex more the closer to the tip you get. Rocker plays a big part in ON3P flex/playfulness. I have been on skis much softer, but with less rocker that I find more difficult to butter than ON3P with freestyle/park rocker.
Like I said, they're not noodles, but they do have some flex, coupled with the rocker very playful.. way more playful than any QST will ever be.

Just so you know KK, and correct me if I'm mistaken (because I tend to be wrong all the fucking time), but I do believe Session is involved with ON3P, so I think he might be a part of "ON3P knows".
I don't see the J102 being a ski that most couldn't handle unless you a very new to skiing, but if EdgeCatcher is confident to be trying to flex his QST, I think stock or custom J102 would be just fine.

With all that being said, soft ON3Ps are fun as fuck. My ole Jmos were softer than my J114, J108, and Caylors.. only thing that compares were a pair of Magnus 90s (which some people say are "somewhat stiff".. like that review from blister you posted. I havent skied M102, but I hear they're damn similar in flex compared to M90. I didn't find the M90 to be noodles, but they were playful as fuck and easier to flex than my old K106, which flex very similarly to my new J108 obviously, and probably flex very similarly to a J102. Some of the biggest/easiet ollies and butters were on those Magnus 90s).

    I'm not.

That being said, most people's barrier to buttering isn't flex, but technique.

But he could just get this:

    Essentially a Magnus 102.

Well thanks for the correction.. I lurk on NS n see you're vocal over there regarding ON3P and have a colored name.. assumed you were involved! My bad Kid-Kapow!
But yes.. technique, rocker profiles, and mount point. Unless EdgeCatcher wants to be further back than -2 then I agree he should just get those. Interested to see the edgeless model here in a few weeks.

We have next to no info on the rider - ability level, height, weight, location - so everything so far is just information that the poster can use to nuance his/her discussion with ON3P. I do think it is prudent to sometimes be the voice of going with something a bit more approachable / an easier version of a ski if the idea is specifically to improve as a novice skier, though the stock j102, the m102 aka crushin cans or the yet to be released 2022 park lineup might be plenty approachable as is provided the poster picks the one that is more appropriate for his/her needs

Besides, Sessiøn shred j118s while my past 176 k98s, 181 k108s and 181 k116s and I were not a match made in heaven, so for this kind of ski I would def go with mr S' advice over mine

Besides, I think this will be a good week for the park crowd:

yes, but the new generation of the shopify platform was also supposed to be launched today, so I am guessing that the roll out / update might take a bit of time yet. I would love to be proved wrong obviously

Has anyone received a clear + clear custom yet? Thoughts? Does anyone recall if any real pics have been posted here?

I went back 10 pages and didn’t see any but not sure if I missed it. I’ll go back and look again if it’s been posted

Thinking the J110 in clear looks pretty slick

    Thanks

18 pages back (press the link if the picture doesn't pop up) - yeah, they look very slick indeed, Iggy's photo showcases the design very well imho

There will be a lot more website-based product photography and additions to the product pages this year, but we're waiting until all the new Shopify 2.0 updates role out to our themes before we start building up again, so we're spending as little time on the website as possible until then (supposed to role out early August, so just hoping that timeline holds so we can get most everything rebuilt before Labor Day).
I wonder how the Shopify roll out is progressing. Hopefully some news dropping this week as the cat is official out of the bag, aka Magnus and ON3P are parting ways - very amicably must be emphasized.

oh my. Very, very nice! Solid choices, both wrt model and graphics!

So Jeff110, Wood102 and BG118s? If I can ask, what lenghts are they and what's the reasoning behind the narrower ski being the longest?

    ON3P SKIS Discussion

Yeah. Narrow ski long for max stability on low tide hot lap days where the only fun to be had is speed.

Thanks Kid-Kapow and Paul and great timing Optics. Sick quiver.

The transparency in the tip is so good. I was going to go all black with blacked out Wardens but the clear is proper.

Now I just need to decide J102 or 110…decisions

Maybe wait a few weeks if you can.. looks like theres a new "mango" line coming out with 100 and 110 widths.. guessing they're similar to jeffs but with a mount closer to center if thats your thing.. im personally pretty hyped.. always wanted an on3p ~110mm with a mount closer to center
