^^^^If dedicated jib, go 102. No doubt 110 will be fun, but if you're trying to "learn" jibs, a little thinner is better IMO. A 102 On3p is still going to be decent in pow too, better than other 102s
I'm gonna get a little crazy here, I had some beers. I already have some freshie 2021 189s BGs, but if I had cash my first or second ski purchase for morenmore, would be some 192s. I'm drooling over those. Differentiating in feel in different RES shapes is a hobby within itself. is so entertaining and informative for future ski design

Haaaa very true, ski the 189 goats man!! They kick ass (you know that). Ultimately it’s up to you how you spend your money but I’ve moved to a “1 out — then 1 in” ski buying methodology. Keeps me honest.

Can anyone tell me how far from center the rec mount point on a Billygoat 118 is? Looking at a tour layup as a pow touring rig. I tend to prefer skis with more traditional mount points.

roughly 9.5 or some such (varies ever so slightly by size), so pretty traditional - if not silly far back as some of Völkl's designs

ON3P SKIS Discussion
I will be a sum a bitch as I missed this post and just took my new 192 110 Woods and compared them to my 193 SGs and it would take a very discerning eye to tell the diff between the two rocker profiles…. As I have already said I am super stoked on the 102 and 110 Woods and have not been this excited to ride a ski since my OG 191 Billy’s…!

WD102s arrived a couple of days ago. Pretty much feels exactly as Iggy described them.
The camo topsheet combined with the texture makes them feel and look like camo-jeans

Classified's with a Custom WD108 + P15 for $1100 ('nuck bucks. Ref. a basic custom WD110 with no sales translates to ~$1150 up here). Now to figure out at what model year and amount of use this becomes a good deal (I know when it's not a hard "no" - last season; <= 1 weekend; no jank flex/build options; & BSL matches on the line). Or whether the changes made to the 110 make it the better hole-filler in the quiver.
Someone please remove the temptation, I already bought one ski this year.Last edited by SnakeMagnet; 09-21-2021 at 01:10 AM.

these?
They are a good deal if 1) you can't afford to get a new pair of 110s, 2) you want the previous flex pattern aka slightly stiffer back halves, 3) this choice of custom tops happens to be what you would have gone for had you ordered yourself, 4) P15 Forzas is the binding you would have gone for too, and 5) if they are mounted in a way that works for you.
I would save up for a pair of new 110s unless all five conditions are met, but that is just my reasoning. Or if you can get them at whetever less than 1100usd if one of these conditions are not met, but you still cannot afford a new pair and is dying to get on WD108s. The previous design is still a good ski
Looking at the BG+Shifts the seller also lists - man, those 2018 BG topsheets look sooo good. I can't remember ever having this much second guessing my choice of custom tops - damn you 2018 BG and DuckCamo!
And, SF - what is this, the post 5% of your skis thread? Happy to hear that the flex is as advertised and something that you seem excited about. I firmly do believe that the new WD102 is the ski I wanted R10s to be, so here's to hoping that we are correct

Beggars can't be choosers, but I'm not begging yet. Alas. I balked at a very unscoured BG that was half that price this spring; can't yet justify it with the snowfall here and inflexible schedule...
Mantras are too stiff and speed hungry to daily in the trees where I usually end up when it's dust on crust, and the amount of times I found myself making excuses to bring out the cat no matter the low tide was concerning. I got the red specifically for those days, but there's that obvious gaping hole in the quiver and i'm a utilitarian. WD's been thirsted over for 2 years now.

if I may be a bit blunt, are your posts meant as internal deliberations posted in this thread or something you actually expect feedback on?
If the latter, be specific - what skis do you have and like, what conditions do you ride and what balance point / stance do you prefer in skis. What is it you want feedback on? WD108 tails vs what gen mantra in low tide tight tree conditions?
There are bound to be mags in the thread that can provide feedback on the latter, but not if the posts are cryptic inferences to a unknown quiver or boils down to personal deliberations about price point acceptability.
yeah, I am a bit cranky sat here with some fractured ribs, but I do not understand your posts.
